When to fim, scrog and lollipop

Hey guys, I posted a week or so ago about funny leaves on my seedling, it was down to the water being slightly alkaline, since then she has bounced back after adjusting, she has now been transplanted into her final pot (last night)

My question now is when should I start fimming, scrog and lollipop?

She has been given take root to help with transplant shock.

Is she an photoperiod or an auto?

Photoperiod

It’s amnesia lemon by barney’s farm its supposed to be a sativa but the leaves don’t look very sativa to me lol

Fimming soon by 4th or 5th node but no lollipopping or acrogging needed IMO until you flip to flower

What about defolation? Should I not take off the bottom nodes to direct light

Not quite yet. When the plant is very small, it needs all the solar panels it can get so to speak.

At your stage, I only pull off the leaves scraping the ground. The lollipopping is done to the bottom third of the plant to remove leaves and buds since they will never see the light of day.

I only do that when she is almost fully stretched into flower.

I hope that was helpful.

What other LST can I do now or shortly?
So, I’ll be topping/fimming over the next week or so. Should I not tie that new growth it produces down?

I’d supercrop it if you felt comfortable .

squeeze and twist gently until it falls over then tie all the branches down.

First you have to decide how you want to train and grow them. I like to do a mainline grow. This creates 8 main colas.
To do this I grow the plants to 6 nodes and then do the first topping at the 3rd node.
Next i grow the branches to the 4 and top to the 3rd
The third and final topping can be done at the first node just as the second can be safely snipped off.
I start training the main branches as soon as I top.
You can and should snip all the other growth tips, but leave the leaves. You want as many leaves as possible at this stage to speed recovery and keep it growing. In coco this whole process takes 4-6 weeks.

I’ve looked into mainlining it looks amazing. Do you have to wait until the 6th node to chop down to the third?

I suggest it, it gives the roots time to grow and allows the plant enough strength to bounce back quickly and keep growing.
Some do it earlier, this is what I do and it has worked very well.

Here is a few pictures of the progression.

Yeh I think I will go mainline route for this plant, just need to get some rubber ties. What sort of yield do you get per plant?

That all really depends on the genetics, Lights, nutrition/media. I don’t leave any off shoots to grow out which reduces overall harvest weight but eliminates all smaller popcorn buds and larf, however each main cola can yield an ounce or so if everything else is in line.

Oh that’s great, I’d be happy with a half ounce per cola. So anything extra is a bonus. I figure if I can pull off at least a half ounce per month it has taken to grow that will supplement my prescription nicely

Looks like you may be in soil. Soil will take a bit longer for all of this so just be patient and let the plant grow, it will be ready to top at each stage when it is.
Be gentle training too, I have snapped off lots of branches along the way.

Thanks for the advice. Its a lot to process but I think if a job is worth doing, it is worth doing right. So I’m 100% all in wanting to learn

It is a fun and rewarding endeavor. Even if you have setbacks you learn a lot as you go.
There are a lot of different ways to get it done, the most important things are getting your environment in the correct ranges and keeping it stable. This will go a long way in your success. All the training is just an added bonus

Aye before I even germinated. I spent a week dialing in my environment for each stage of growth. So all I need to do is flip a switch or two to reduce/increase the humidity, turn up/down heat on the devices I’m using. It shouldn’t (in theory) need playing with and hurting the plant while I figure out adjustments. My dad was ex military so installed the 5 p’s into me. Proper planning prevents p*ss poor performance.

I’m pretty new to growing and trying my first scrogg indoors and first indoor for that matter but I would like to try the supercrop this yr and was wondering if blue dream or white widow or northern lights are good choices. I know outdoors may not be the best choice but its my only choice. I’m also located in Va. Do you have any suggestions for a good supercrop strain?
I don’t feel intimidated by trying it because the last two yrs I been doing the old christmas tree way which doesn’t yield well until I seen all these other options so I got nothing to lose I figure. Probably dumb questions but I wanted to make my first post a good one lol.
