When is day 1 of flower with a autoflower

I dont consider them flowering until producing pistils either way, regardless of light schedule. The only exception to that would be a photo on long veg showing preflowers on a veg schedule.

I just finished up a auto grow and they did ok I think ( not sure what I should have expected) and I found that I had a difficult time deciding on when to switch to flowering nutrients any suggestions for future knowledge @dbrn32

I grew autos one time and decided I wasn’t a fan, so probably not the best person to ask. When it comes to autos and feeding I would get with @Screwauger. I’m sure there others too, but he constantly has large producing autos.

I believe his method is to continue with a veg blend for a couple of weeks after he first notices pistils. But you would be much better waiting and getting that information directly from him.

I am not a big fan either but I was given a hand full of seeds I figured I would grow while doing a long veg on a photo

Nothing wrong with that.

Heres the method he uses and is what I followed on my grow.

Good read thanks @DoobieNoobie I guess maybe I should have given flowering nutrients earlier as my autos took 16 weeks

I started flowering nutes when mine slowed vertical growth. And mine went about 3 weeks longer than the breeder “estimate” which we all know is short anyways. But yeah switching the nutes seems to kick them into gear on flowering.

I usually start counting days when the first real buttons of buds begin. When they have little pom-poms, instead of just pistils, they’re officially in bloom. I begin transition nutes then.
