When is best time to top photos while in veg?

I have two feminize photos growing outdoors on my patio in 3 gallon fabric pots and was curious when is the best time to top these while in the vegetative stage?

They are 5 weeks old and about 12” tall

I topped mine at 3 nodes. I plan to top again when the 2 tops get 3 nodes and again after that. That should give me 8 tops when it hits flower. This is my first time trying this, so take it for what it’s worth.

I usually top above the 5th node and then again a couple / few nodes above that.

Here are the two I am talking about. Both right around 5 nodes.

Just take the top set of leaves off now and leave it at that. If you want to top again wait until the new branches have 3-5 sets of leaves and top above them.
