Just curious, when do you guys start topping, or fimming your outdoor plants? I always grow indoors, but try an outdoor one for fun. This one is on day 23 and is almost 13”. Growing about an inch a day now.

I grow outdoor. I do my first round of topping the top stalk around the 7th node. A few weeks later I then top the side branches. I then clean up/snip the bottom branches if they are not getting proper sun exposure.
Last season -I started outside end of April, then topped beginning of June. Those were seedlings. The clones dont go out until mid June, and I would top them once. Hope it helps.

I top any time after the 5th node then you can top again in a couple of weeks. I grow outdoors too, started in a tent (that’s where their first topping took place) , then moved outdoors mid May and I could top again about now but mine are so big already that I don’t need to top any more.
