I flipped on day 78. I rescrogged and then added another net. Im now on day 89 from germ, day 11 from flip and they are starting to flower, (day 2). When do you start counting flowerinf days? If the seed company says 80-90 days in flower, are the parameters from flip or first sign? Thats 10 days…significant bulking can go on at the end.

Also, can you grow a photo in a veg tent 18/6 under LED veg lights and then flower her on a 12/12 in full spectrum?

Oh wow. So thats when youd start keeping track of your weeks? I know that the flowering times vary, but i like to ise it as a little place holder. So if that was over 2 weeks from flip, and first pistil was def several days (maybe a week even?) prior to that picture, your seed company says 70 days to harvest, you actually start from that point and go 10 weeks out? Im still new and plants are so individual…i dont FOLLOW and time tables. I try to use my truchomes mostly, but i always think im pulling too early or too late…trying to find a good rule of thumb.
Yes this is where I start counting, I have 3 plants in my closet and the one started showing pistols almost in a couple days, but I have one that is just getting hairs. I don’t use growers recommendations because every plant has mixed strains 50/ 50 indica/Sativa and can act like either. So I go by week 1 hedgehogs and that is all pay attention, how old the plant is has no bearing. Indica flower 7 to 10 weeks, Sativas 8 to 12 imo so 7 to 12 weeks.

Do you have harveat photos? So you consider transitiin from flip to total formation and THEN count flower? I like this.
How do you lnow when they are done growing? Should i prune and tuck daily or let em grow a few days and supercrop? These root systems are massive, i feel like i need continuous supply of h20.

I am a dirt grower in my closet search Dennis 62 and I am on grow 16 so still learning, but I am on a dense bud quest, I quit growing auto completely and I grow indica dominant strains only, I don’t run high wattage but quality hlg lights and they produce some good dense bud, mine is a simple grow, that go’s pretty quick, I squeeze in 3 grows per year I must say looks like you are doing great, looking happy and healthy. also that OG kush auto nugs you posted look like you had a good harvest too looked beautiful
It doesn’t really matter when you start counting because the plants are done when they are done. The amount of time listed is just an estimate. 7-10 days give or take doesn’t matter that much.

I gave hydro a whirl. I have a bunch of projects starting to compare an indoor soil, an indoor hydro and an outdoor auto run. 3 strains. Strawbereu cheesecake and 3 mysteries popped and im attempting afew clones off discarded branches. And 3 idkwtf they are lst ideas on the porch. And a coupke odd random containers and a rain hydro thingy i created. So excited. Give hydro a shot. It cost me too much, buy couldve been so cheap and effective. Lol
I threw that same question out to the community about a year ago and got mixed answers…it’s really not a big deal either way but I start my count the day I flip. In a world of “let’s get everything perfect” I’m kinda amazed that there’s so much discrepancy on the count. Where it matters to me is from the advice of many pro growers I like to defol at day 21…well which is it? Day 21 from light flip or day 21 after the 1st sign?? There could easily be a 10-15 day difference between the 2…
@Pinboy thats why i dont defol. The plant will do it for me. When shes ready to drop leaves, thats when they drop. I let her consume what she needs. Its like taking food away from a baby…
I quit counting the last couple of grows, easier just to keep an eye on the flowers and harvest when ripe without worrying about how many days it takes. When I was keeping track I would call day one when pistils started to cluster. I defol the same way, look at the plant and if I think it needs a trim, I trim. No set schedule.
