Veg time question

Evening everyone, had a quick question or two on veg time for my photos. I read a few post others have made and it seems the answer is depending on how big you want the plants to get.

That said I am curious to hear what you would suggest. I’m in a 4x4 with 4 5 gallon pots. Obviously I do not want it too crazy but I don’t want to short myself either. I was thinking of doing 6 weeks or so I figured would be a good bit more than I usually get with autos and shouldn’t be too crazy.

My other question is once I flip the lights how long does it usually take for flowering to hit? Is it strain specific or is there a typical range of like 2 days to a week? Since I’m only experienced with Autos to this point these are the last few questions I had regarding my photos as I’m nearing the flower stage ( well 3 weeks probably). Appreciate any input as I value all of your opinions.

I usually veg mine out for 5 weeks, as for them to start after flowering 2-3 weeks after you flip them.

I have hight issues so I flip when tallest girl is 18 inches tall, most strains will double in flower so I usually end up with a 36 inch plant, and after the flip it’s different for each plant but they streach for a week or more then when the buds start to form and they look like little hedgehogs, that for me is Week 1 of flower. Good luck man

I have a 3x3. My typical veg time is 7 - 8 weeks with four plants. They are heavily trained and usually a manifold.

No doubt it is a tent full

The next grow it was 1 plant, 10 week veg and it also filled the tent

Thank you and that gives me a good idea of what I need to do

Also even if you flip to 12/12, if she is not sexually mature, she will not start to flower until she reaches maturity. Then it is on!.
Ready to flip
Once I see this, then I know I can flip at anytime depending on space restrictions. I have 57" to bottom of lights. Minus the 18" space between lights and canopy top, that gives me 36-40" plants when done.
Your BOMs are beauties by the way. I’m watchin you Newbie.
