when is best to trim fan leaves and top - in vegetative or flowering or does it matter?

Pics are nice. I’d only take the leaves that are blocking bud sites from getting light. I would do it in both veg and flower get more bottem growth towards top

Veg I would top then wait at least 2 weeks before flowering. Topping in flowering will hurt ur yield. But u can clone in flower.
