Stick with 5 gallon fabric pots.

As a matter of fact I like using 5 gallon fabric pots because I start my plants directly in their final containers and when they get a little leggy like most do, I water the day before, just gently dig them up never exposing the roots, and transplant them in the same pot right there just a little deeper. That way they still have 3 gallons of soil underneath their roots in which to grow. They never experience any stress or shock.
