Oh rightio - good to know! I guess I’ll just see how I go with this grow with the girls already in 300mm plastics and go from there. This grow will be through the hottest part of the year so it should be a good indication of how they handle it?
People have been growing in plastic pots for generations. They’ll do just fine.
Everyone’s input is very much appreciated
I usually just take mine down to local car wash, put my foot on the edge of a couple of them an Blast Away.
I turn them inside out and agitate them in a bucket of water. Then throw them in the washer with no detergent.
Haha I can just imagine using a pressure sprayer on them! I bet they flop all over the place lol
Thanks heaps guys. My main concern is now the humidity issue
I’ve never noticed any humidity change whether they’re wet or dry.
other than air pruning and drainage, another benefit is that you can roll down the sides of the pot for extra curricular activities.
In terms of pots, I’ve tried lots for all sorts of plants and These are the best Ive used, price is right and handles are sturdy.

Hmmm what are these activities you speak of?
Haven’t had any issues as of yet but I have some I’ve used for almost 2 yrs. Not saying I won’t have to change them out ever but at the present no problems. Only problems I’ve had is with 5 gallon smart pots is root bound. Use mostly 10 gallon and 15 gallon smart pots… Use 20 gallon for mother plants in veg room. Regarding humidity rising might be true in a tent I dunno and I don’t have a tent. Here in Michigan humidity is so low in winter I’ve bought misters for veg and flower rooms…
I feel ya its only just hitting winter here in OH and I’m struggling like crazy to get my grow room above 42% humidity and my drying room 50%
I just took all my fab pots and soaked them in alcohol water gor a bit then went to peroxide mixed water and from there went to the washer with no soap. To do a final wash and rinse. They came out looking brand new again and 1 of the 10 gal ones a smart pot had a ton of build up on it
Good to know cheers
