High,
Any suggestions on an anxiety reducing strain…
Happy growing,
Ger
Many people recommend looking at trichromes color to determine how much couch lock you get. The more amber the more couch lock the more anxiety reduction they claim.
So what I’m trying to make you aware of is strain might not be the only variable for you to watch.
I only recently started smoking again, so far gorilla glue from ilgm has been my personal favorite for anxiety and pain
Look for indica strains versus sativa strains. Sativa strains can increase anxiety.
@Syndrix makes a great point too. Harvest with more amber for a more sedative effect.
this is good, I am always confused when it comes to harvest or not. Thankyou
I have this in my notes I can’t tell you where to get the information on the strains to determine which has more of each of the different cannibinoids I think there’s over 400 different types … simple answer is as Midwest said indicas are more for the body high and is relaxing
Great point, @MeEasy. You could do some research on terpine profiles that impact anxiety as well.
Terpene profiles and how they react with each persons body chemistry is unique. Some strains work well, for one person, and it’s definitely not working well for another.
This is part of the discovery process of what terpene profile works for me? Every person is unique, and a pine/citrus/dank profile seems to be the one with least paranoia for me.
OG Kush and Fire OG have both of those profiles.
High,
Thanks all…I will put these suggestions to good use and try to harvest when more amber. My wife needs some “relaxing” effect.

definitely
Anything purple for the most part
High,
Now she doesn’t want to smoke. I will need to make some gummies or other edibles. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Happy growin,
Ger
My wife does not smoke either. I make her gummies when her back acts up. A coconut oil infusion makes great gummies. Several recipes around for infusing without a machine. Alchohol strip works well for rso but a pain in the butt. For wife i think a coconut oil. Can make cookies/brownies/gummies etc.
Check out @blackthumbbetty’s Cannakitchen thread.
@Gerant , GrowWeedEasy has great, easy to follow recipes for brownies, canna-butter, canna-caps, RSO extracts etc… They also promote ILGM for seeds.
High,
Thank you all. I appreciate your help and quick responses. Grow season just around the corner
Happy growin

For myself, I would look for a strain that is high in CBD. Definitely leaning towards indica-dominant. The problem I have with edibles is that I cannot tell the difference between indica and sativa once they are processed and eaten. I got a much broader range effects from smoking. Unfortunately the smoking has other side effects such as the possibility of lung issues and for me throat irritation. I would steer away from anything haze and more towards kush. Another issue is cannabinoids act differently with everybody, and what help somebody might not help somebody else. We are all built differently.
Do not smoke high THC Sativas , stay at 70/30 Indica dominant and you will find balance
I relax with Northern Lights.
@VirginiaGrowBoy you can be opposites, some sativa does mellow them , for me it makes me more axious or paranoid hazed , indica is more pain sedating is what i need to help relieve my pain .
