So a few days go i saw some what I think are fruit flies becse they had red eyes around in my grow room. So i made a trap using ACV and the next day there were more and the following day after that the leaves started to yellow and there were like white spots on the stem. Does anyone what it is and also how to get rid of it.
I do think something is after your plant but I haven’t seen gnats do anything like that. I think the only way to know is to use a magnifier of some kind to look for the bugs. Cozy makes a app for your phone that magnifies, it’s a little hard to use because it’s hard to hold your hand still but it works
I think u may have aphids or spider mites but they make sure use a microscope to check closely before using any pest control
This. Looks like leaf miners to me but no telling to be honest.
You are on the right path tho. Identify. Eradicate. Extreme eradication… in that order
So i got the cozy magnifier app and started loo?ing but to be honest i dont really know how to look. If that make since. You have any tips
Look on top and under the leaves. Look for anything possibly moving or spots/speckles.
U can also rub ur fingers on the leaves. If u feel a lil grittyness, scope it.
Alot of pests hide under the leaf. And are active just before lights on or after lights out
Just follow the stem and look under the leaves they like to hide. Some bugs are like roaches and only come out in the dark if you don’t see anything in the day then try just as the lights come on
Looks like thripe or aphid damage
They suck nutrients from the leaves. U can try SaferSoap spray, Lady Bugs or my favorite and most successful way is to get Predator Mites, they work great and keep on workin for months after realeasing then into ur garden
Looks like they maybe eggs…
Do u know what eggs
See if you can get a more focused picture.
I’m pretty sure you would have to find an actual bug to be 100 on what it is but the best bug guy I know is @Lacewing
my opinion is white fly eggs but it’s a total guess I had some on a plant many years ago and they looked very similar
Thanks for tagging me …I don’t see any pests here …usually pests like whitefly will lay eggs on the underside of leaves like almost all the others …
One way to tell is shake the plant
If you have whiteflies a gang of them will jump off the pant and then back on …when you shake it …
