Itās a gram per watt by 50 square feet I think is how itās explained .

Generally speaking, yield isnāt measured by number of lights, as all lights are not made equal. Instead, the standard for experienced growers is about a gram per watt.
This isnāt what I like to teach, unless your focused on retail. I would instead invite you to concentrate on quality over quantity. Anyone who may have the time and money to Veg for an extended amount of time, has the capacity to yield large numbers, regardless of light numbers and relative density. Many commercial cannabis growers get much higher yields. Not everyone has the knowledge to produce medical grade cannabis.

I am more interested in learning to grow top shelf buds, than mass quantity. However, I just took over an operation and produced 9lbs on 47 plants. Thatās seemed to be very low in my opinion. Any thoughts?
You probably can get about the same yield with less plants but thatās a big space you have some math to do on square feet and how much light per watt to each 50 square feet , if 3-5 plants is sharing the same space can be why your yield seem less ā¦!

There is many factors of why yield size may be limited, but without detailed knowledge of the garden, itās hard to tell; for instance, they may be limited on space per their license, but not plant count. By packing more (smaller) plants, overall yield maybe higher, or, the desirable genetics are a smaller yielder. Truthful, there is no way to know without being on site.

How long are you Vegging for?

For the lights, Iām running 12 1000W hps nanolux fixtures, 12 on 12 off for flower. 18 on 6 off for veg. The space is a garage, so itās about 23ā x 20ā.
For the strains, I had Girl Scout cookies, strawberry milkshake and sour d.

Yes, I run co2 in the flower. I think they were in veg for about 8 weeks. I donāt recall exactly, my brother started the process and I joined in
rule of thumb is you need about 50 plus watts per square foot. My room is 8 foot x 8 foot and i run 4 1000 watt hps. My last two runs were 6lbs 6oz and 7lbs 9ozā¦ You are only producing about 26 watts per square foot.

Seems like an awful small yield for 2 months of Veg. Maybe filling out a complete support ticket is a good idea. What is the running air temp? ā¦and if you feel comfortable suppling picture, weāre very picture friendly here on ilgm.

Youāre absoletly right, my first succesful growth was AK-47 with a 1000 watts led light and reach a little bit more than 2 lbs

Yes Iāve been at this for quite a while @Niala ā¦first grow ever a friend of mine gave me 7 chemdawg and 8 others canāt remember at this time the strainā¦ But the 7 chemdog were under a 600 watt HPS the other 8 were under a thousand watt HPS and I pulled off 27 ounces of dry Prime super potent medical herb and ever since then Iāve tried to change a little bit of this and a little bit of that to accomplish moreā¦ Iām about a half a gram to three-quarters of a gram in soil perr wattā¦ but since then have moved to hydroā¦ trying to get to the infamous gram per watt but actually I think Iām going to succeed that by a mileā¦ will keep you updated and pick your brain when I think itās necessaryā¦ Thksāŗ
Hereās a pic of a couple of 3 Footers that I yanked out of soil and through into Hydro they were my first roll and this is them today in a scrog I believe at this point in time they are super hungry Iām going to have to pick the brains of several Hydro guys on here to see what they thinkā¦
