What Is the Weight of Your Harvest?

So you don’t use the Boveda packs? Just a sealer bag, right? And straight from drying? My first time on a limited budget :blush:

@SmoknGranny I don’t know what Boveda packs are. I use small ZipLock bags so i can use as needed. For long storage I use FoodSaver vacuum sealer. I do stuff a little different because i live off grid and have no commercial power.

Apparently many use Boveda packs in mason jars for humidity control during storage and curing . I’m not off grid just on a tight budget. I also like keeping stuff easy and simple. I have ziplocks & a vacuum sealer and prefer to use what I have. Thanks for sharing what you do :blush:

@SmoknGranny no problem at all. I too am on tight budget. Just open the ziplocks every few days until you are sure it is dried to your liking. I keep them in 5 gallon bucket to keep the odors (aroma) down. I live in very low humidity area so mold isn’t really an issue.

@Fepony. I appreciate your help. Please keep me in mind for any tips from seed to harvest on a budget. Hmmm that may be a good topic to start :blush:. Many of us here for various reasons just need to keep things simple and economical.

That’s actually not a bad idea. Why don’t you start one and let’s see where it takes us?

@rodri59 what say you?

Okay. I’ll try to work something up and start it Monday. I overdid moving stuff around today and too tired to think right now :disappointed:. I wish I had some of @rodri59 wit with words😊

While I know there are those who have loads of money to dump into their grow, I would wager that the majority of us are trying to do this on a shoestring budget (me for one).

I think it is a fab idea and will be happy to contribute what little knowledge I can lend in this area from my padded room.

As long as you don’t mind my occasional mental breakdown for one thing or another.

Snakes. I am still crying over effing snakes.

@4superskunk. That’s a good question!!!

here’s 3 plants some of my own strain. weight 1lb 11 oz’s just got started cleaning got many to go. this is dry weight. ill keep posting weight.

who wanted to see a 5 gallon pale full? here ya go

147.2 grams (5.2 ounces) dry and in jars from my very first harvest ever, a Cotton Candy clone grown outdoors. I also got 12 caterpillars! I immediately went out and sprayed the rest of the plants with spinosad, so at least the caterpillars will not be fighting me. I woke up the other day and one of them was trying to bite my arm! No more hanging pot up to dry in the bedroom.

Took the God Bud yesterday. This was by far the most aromatic of all my girls. Sure am glad I installed a 6 inch carbon filter/fan in the ceiling of the spare bathroom now the drying room. Too heavy for my scale to wet measure. Gold Leaf gets a final trim today. Will post when done. Strawberry Kush is up next.

Happy Harvesting All!!

hey new member here from a wicked good state on the east coast. interested in my upcoming outdoor harvest but painfully watching rain and high humidity and high temps as i’ve already been dealing with mold. Question? does anyone know how long a late harvest could be? I dont know the strains (bagseed) but they are doing good just not turning amber yet. i hope i get past this NATE problem and dry weather till end of october any suggestions? thanks all for a place to learn and burn!

@bob31, can you help @cj7huntngrow out? He’s kinda in the wrong place and he’ll get more help if he’s situated better.
