My seedlings have this grayish look to their leaves. It is blue cheese, which I thought was adverse to mildew and mold, but I don’t know. I also don’t know if it is a health change in color like the purple buds you come across. here is a pic
This is all new to me so all help would be greatly appreciated.
Me answering the survey type questions:
I am growing an Indoor blue cheese feminized. To water I use tap water left out for about 30 hours with a ph of 6.3. I did use a bit of root growth and mixed it with some water at the very beginning with a ph about the same. I am starting in rapid rooter tray then going to transplant into a happy frog soil. I am going to use general hydroponics. I mean they only sprouted a few days ago. My understanding is you don’t start nutrients until like week 3. I am currently using the led light on the seed starter kit but once transplanted I plan on using the AeroLight SE 200W LED Grow Light. Temp is around 70ish in day and 65ish at night. The humidity with dome on is around 80ish. I don’t see much difference at night but again it is in the dome. This is my first true time. I tried as a kid and kept getting male plants from bagged. Goes to show the quality when I was younger. Good god this “hobby” is expensive. I got a grow tent kit 3by3 with all the bells and whistles. That took me back about 500 dollars. It is the vivosun kit.
Welcome to the forum.
Cannabis does not do well with lots of water. You need to let that plug dry out a bit.
The stretch on the stem is from low lighting. It needs more light so either turn up the dimmer or lower the light some. Try 6 inches and see what happens.
When you transplant it just cover that stem by placing the seedling deeper into the new container. You might just consider transplanting it now into something a little bigger.
Cant tell about the grey you see as the pic is not clear enough.
If you think its mold perhaps just mix some peroxide 50 50 with water and drop a little on the leaves and then remove it with a q tip or a kleenex using the corner to wick it away. Water on a seedling under strong light can cook it as the water works like a magnifying glass.
I would wait until there are a few true leaves formed before you panic…seedlings can be funky. Also as @Spiney_norman said careful not to overwater. It doesn’t need much right now.
Thanks a lot. appreciate the in depth response. I will try each of these asap. you say 6 inch away. this has been some complication for me. The website that does the light vivosun. Says to have it should be 24inch and then later says just 2 to 4 inch. Is there a reason for the difference or just ignore them and hang them about 6 inchs?
oh sorry i miss understood. so the kit and dome have a 8 led light on it. when i transplant and take dome off i was going to use the AeroLight SE 200W LED Grow Light. unless it is smarter to go ahead transplant it into another pot and go ahead and use the good light. also i am sorry to be hounding you with questions… i read online i just move the rapid rooter into the new pot and put soil all around it is that right? and also when i use the aerolight i should have the light at about 24inches away right? again you have been really helpful. the community seems worth being apart of.
This is a great place to learn. I was a total newb and this place taught me everything I know. Great group of growers and nobody will make fun of any question or mistake. You wont find another forum like this.
So yes, just plant the rapid rooter into a new larger container. If its an Autoflower I suggest make it the final home. If its a photo period then you can upsize as you want a time or two.
I tried to grow back in the 70s and found bag seed was like 80% males. Everyone says 50/50 male female, but that was not my experience.
