Due to my climate I dry whole plant intact to slow drying. As colas dry to desired moisture contant I remove them and dry trim into my trim bin. I dont sweat tricom loss on sugar leaves as they fall into the trim bin and are recovered through the screen.
I’ve become lazy. I dry trim now.
These days I cut the plant down, peroxide bath, hang for 10-14 days, clip off buds and toss them into a bowl trimmer, then jar. Some buds need a little hand manicure to be perfect, but this saves me hours and hours at harvest.
I feel wet trimming looks better at the end, but the way I do it slows the dry time down and leaves a better scent.
