What is best light setup for a 4x2 indoor soil grow

I just bought new 4x2 tent and was wondering about lighting. Should i go with two 110 watt lights or one 2000.

Id go with a hlg 350r. Or a 260fr if more economical for you.

HLG has a few that would work for you 260xl , 350R and the black wing Mars hydro has the TS 3000 which would also be great

200-220 watts is on the low side for that size area(8sq ft). Around 35 w per sq ft is recommended for best results. That would be minimum 280 watts in your case.
If those 2 are your only options for now, I would go with 2x 110 watt lights.
Right now I am using 2x 150 watt lights for approximately the same area as you.
These are in a 4x8 tent and I grow under this ~2x4 space.

I was trying a shop light for possible seedlings/clones at the rear. I have since abandoned that idea for now.

The other end of the tent is supplies/work table.

I use a 350r. I think it’s plenty. 40 watts per square foot is recommended, so 2x4=8x40=320W needed.

320XL on the left 600r in the center 350r on the right just to give you an idea

I use HLG 100s in my 2x4 or 2x6 closet ( whether I have 2 or 3 plants)I use one of these 95w boards per 2x2 space, for me that is 1 plant per board. I prefer having the ability to raise or lower for each plant, but these only give you 25w per sq foot, but I have good success with them, heres what my closet looks like in flower

But there are bigger options for the 2x4 that are great too. I went with the 100s for several reasons, so shop around. Good luck :+1: @rblazier1178
