What I am doing wrong?

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks

“I purchased an autoflowering seed. The two leaves on it are cupping down. And I don’t know why?!? Is it because of too much water, or less water.? At the stage it is at how much do I need to give it? and when? It is in a 2.5 gallon pot. I don’t want it to die. If u can please help me. I would kindly appreciate. Thank u. For time and consideration concerning this matter.”

It sounds like too much water. Just hold off a couple days, let it dry out. Those seedlings don’t need a ton of water. Maybe 1/2-1/4 cup, maybe even less, lol. Never saturate the soil/medium and make sure your container has drainage holes. You could always put a humidity dome over it to keep the rh steady and lessen waterings.

I agree with @majicmarkers sounds like overwatering. It is easy to overwater especially if they are in a larger container.
With my seedlings I typically use a spray bottle and spray the soil to moisten it a few times a day until it has enough roots to take up the water. Seedlings don’t have the foliage yet to need an abundance of water.
Also on a side note you don’t want to give them any nutes yet you should only be giving them PH balanced water.

What kind of medium are you using, what’s your ph? Soil or soilless medium or hydro being a seedling they dont need much until they get about 3-4 sets of true leaves id mist tmistdown twice a day.

Also temps and humidity will play a big role in overall health conditions
