What Happened To My Seeds?

A customer has a question and I hope we can get some opinions on it, thanks.

“I purchased 3 white widow seeds from you about a month ago. In mid-April I began to sow them inside, following the guidance in your “9 steps” article. All three grew a root in the first step. I planted one outside (since I live in Los Angeles and it’s pretty warm out) and I planted two in cups inside. I watered them all every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday. After about a week, I checked on the one outside. Something had bored a perfect circle right over the seed and the seed was gone. The two inside disintegrated to nothing. Any clue as to what could have happened to my seeds?”

I’m very beginner for marijuana and experienced with growing tomatoes outside. A lot of your questions are outside of my normal gardening lexicon, so excuse me if I’m only able to answer a few.

Soil in pots, Hydroponic, or Coco? Soil came from my vegetable garden.

Indoor or Outdoor: 2 planted indoor and 1 planted outdoor with my vegetables (tomato and garlic).

Light system, size? Sunlight

Temps; Day, Night: Mid 70’s during the day and mid 50’s at night for the outdoor seed. Mid 70’s for the two indoor.

Seems kinda like a pest problem ph would likely be a factor as well
