ILGM White Widow auto. Started 11/8. Fox Farm Coco Loco soil. 18/6 grow light.
Started 50% dose of General Hydro Flora nutes at the Bloom ratio in distilled water at the first sign of yellowing a couple of weeks ago. It is getting worse . Any ideas on what is going on?
Recently had something similar, but worse m, happen to me, a lot more yellow & dead leaves…
I mixed up a nutrient solution & was impatient before amending my ph levels, this causes a huge spike in my PH level therefore giving them nutrient lockout…
When your plant has nutrient lockout it doesn’t intake any of the nutrients you’re feeding therefore it takes nutrient stores from your leaves to keep itself fed.
I amended my PH level in my nutrient solution & gave them a good feed, came back the next day & checked my runoff & I was near back to a perfect PH level.
But it might be a safe bet for you to just flush with PH’d water before feeding again (many do this)
Good job with your plant. Like the others have said get a ph and ppm reading. Just remember the yellow leaves will not recover. I like to ph between 6.5-6.8 going in.
What does ppt convert to ppm as? I was thinking with ph of 6.1 going in you would be low. Could be looking for food . Any major temp swings bc some of the leaves have a purplish color to them?
Ppm is the nutes. You need to increase nutrients to increase ppm.
Here is a general guideline to ppm per plant stage:
Seedlings: 100-250 (nutrients aren’t needed here, hence there’s not a lot of particles needed)
First Half of Vegging Cycle: 300-400 (this is usually after you transplant, which still doesn’t require many nutrients)
Second Half of Vegging: 450-700 (you’ll start giving your plants more nutrients at this stage)
First Half of Flowering: 750-950 (your plants will be eating more as they grow, so they’ll be taking in more nutrients)
Second Half of Flowering: 1000-1600 (this is when your plant’s eating the most, especially if you give it additives)
End of Flower, Entering Harvest: As close to 0 as possible (this is when you’ll be flushing your plants, so you don’t want there to be a lot of particles leftover)
