Soil and water ph recommendations? New indoor grower

Hey there, im new to indoor growing, lot more stuff to deal with compared to throwin a bean on the groud outside and letting sun n give her some water. I messed up n used miracle on my first ones. They are auto gsc they grew like a weed to this point then they started flowing and a couple bottom leaves started turning yellow on me. Any help would be highly appreciated.

Thanks, Hary

I use fox farm ocean forest and happy frog. I also use the subcool supersoil i mixed with ffhf. I keep my ph around 6.5. I don’t add nutrients until she starts to flower.

Have you given her any nutrients?
What is your temp and humidity like.
Do you know your ph or ppm lvls?
What kind of light and how far from the canopy is it.

You should be feeding Bloom nutes at this point If not already , an follow up by checking PPM run off. It’s not uncommon to have a few leaves yellowing at the bottom of the plant in flowering stage. Overall plant looks good ! :v::+1:

As they start into old age you will start seeing the lower most leaves yellow and die.

Temps are staying 77-79 with lights on n dropping down to 71 or so when they’re off. Im running 20 on n 4 off, yea i got some of that ffof for the next ones. When i grow out doors i dont use much fertilizer, i ended up getting ilgm fertilizer, Its on its way. I havent checked ph yet just got a cheap one from Amazon. Im running a hlg Diablo 200w its about a foot or two away from canopy. Thanks and humidity is about 50% 45%

Thank you!! Whats ppm lol

PPM = parts per million, in other words, how much “stuff” is coming out with the runoff from watering. It’s a way of judging your situation with your nutes - are you adding enough? Too much?

I’ve only done it when I’ve suspected a problem, but many growers test regularly. You need a “Total Dissolved Particles” Pen to check this, but they are pretty cheap.

Ppm is parts per million. Also referred to as TDS, this measures the nutrients in your water. So, IE, you would mix your water and nutrients, pH accordingly, and then test ppms. Then you water your plants, and take another ppm test off of the runoff water, and a little basic math will tell you how much your plants are “eating”.

As mentioned members has you covered. Also When you receive your TDS meter you will be able to measure your feed a lot more precise. At Different plant stages. You’re at the right place . Good luck

With your FFOF how much subcool supersoil are you mixing in and are you adding pearlite? I just put my first girls into soil – FFOF in 3 gal containers with a well of FFHF around the seedling pods (42mm peat).

That one isnt ffof its mircle grow potting mix and some organic soil for a bag. I got some fox farm fertilizer now I got the trio which one should i use now on her?

Thanks for everyones help n input appreciate it.

Google an check out Fox farm trio Feeding schedule. Your plant is in early flower stage. Definitely start with lower dosage. Most of the time less is better. Happy growing !
