What are these white individual strands or ‘hairs?

I found something very similar to this. Fine white hairs, unlike web strands in that it is irregularly wavy, and not elastic.

I have hunted for signs of pests with magnifying glass, with nothing to show. No leaf bites, no dots under leaf. I was mystified by the silky material.

I collected enough to find that it burns like plastic, and I spotted the source. The outer filter on my inline filter is made of these fibers. I added it during early flowering, when the smell started becoming noticeable. It’s possible that I will find more embedded in the buds later, as they grow around the fibers.

Looks like scrog net fibers to me.
Was a scrog net used at any point?

Lol. I fell for it… the restructuring… Tsk tsk tsk

I grew outside using cloth buckets in the ground I feed the plants with m/grow and amo/nitrate had them on 3 out of 8 plants that are over 100 yards apart best I can figure is that it came from the air off of hay field and other weeds

Im getting the same, seems like its going to be a pain to ckean up later… Wish i knew how to show the picture, but im computer illiterate AF

It’s outside by the way, and definitely not “artificial” its only on the girls. Looks like little spiderweb strands

Hi everyone,

What we see here are most likely a bunch of synthetic fibers. Our experts see these in around 90% of sold nugs in dispensaries (ranging from very small to larger quantities of hairs).

This often happens because during growing some fibers which float around in the air just attach themselves to the plants. When transporting or handling plants or nugs, these synthetic fibers can also get on the plants.

In short, this is nothing to worry about and happens all the time!

That said, if you see some bite marks, these can indicate the start of a presence of spider mites.

If you don’t like cat fur, don’t smoke my homegrown :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I have the exact same thing going on with some Purple Punch I grew outside.

It is some kind of spore or fungus. Without a doubt. It’s not a fiber or a hair or dryer lint.

It is on the center of the buds, next to some of the more dense parts. Acts like the silk that is used on spider egg sacs - super fine and stick to anything.

I do not have spider mites though.

I have had this under some very high magnification.

Do you have a dust-filter on your air intake?

Pictures?
TY

Looks like dog hair

This is why I don’t look too closely. Could be from a hobo rubbing his sack on your friends outdoor grow when he’s asleep for all you know.

He be a "Dead Man Walking’, in my neighborhood.

There some crazy ass ppl out there bro

You’re not telling me anything new

Or a bobcat, skunk, raccoon, bear, possum, mouse, squirrel, fox, coyote maybe even a bird deposited it on it, depending on where you live

It was this guy.:grimacing:

This is part of the pistil of the cannabis flower. The pistil is the female reproductive part of a flower and has hair like strands. I have found such strands in my stash as well at times, some of the style, stigma remain in the flower during the growth process. It’s completely normal and safe.

The rooster

No, he’s actually right. It’s spores. It’s a fungus. I’m going through this and we’re not actually crazy. I would’ve. I am completely sound of mine.(That’s no fun Only crazy when I need to be ofc):head_shaking_horizontally: And this has me in a state of complete disbelief. It is dismantled my life very fast and not mentally But by this point it’s probably Wearing on me Mentally as well. But this is physical. We’re gonna talk about real quick only so I am immune compromised and we’ve been exposed to Mold chronically for three years. It is so bad and a brand new home.(Owner doesn’t know how to build first time does everything very cheap Long story short, I saw Some bit of mold coming out of my outlets three years ago and he couldn’t figure out the cause so he sealed it up chlorine the outside. Also I couldn’t see it and that was that. Never thought about it again until I thought I had mites because my clothes, etc. started just looking a little off and I couldn’t pin it. My entire house eventually looked off and I cleaned chronically I mean like that’s where I started Losing my credibility because I was cleaning to try to figure out the pattern that I was seeing And I’m Not going to live I’ve never seen a pattern or even use that word In my life. Like a pattern of what of everything I don’t know how to explain this in words, but cuts on my body from nasal hairs because I am immune compromised is a histamine response to The very obvious airborne spores to the naked eye. It is so bad and we had to leave immediately. I went back and tried to absolutely pretend it was in my head and I’ve gone down every other rabbit hole in the world possible To Turn around swallow my pride, and immediately I have to go back within 12 hours because every animal out of me as well as my son Were so sick I puked all day. He had a migraine. I had a kitten Acting neurological and with tremors none of the animals would touch the floor. It’s just so fungi For sure, and Don’t judge guys if you didn’t think you did I assure you, the shit is real no matter what it is there’s a science behind it. Stop deeming people Crazy or thinking it’s always the easiest obvious answer it’s not and this did not grow around it. It’s possible but it’s exactly what I see every day and these damn things reach And move in a way That a Hair Or fiber shouldn’t move Around moisture. Just wanted to say you know, I probably sound crazy too. I know I’m not and that’s all I need so I Hoping to bring Awareness it’s not always that easy answer but I am the one person and there’s a lot more People like me out here I realize last night going through this, and I think a lot more as much as a spreads It sounds insane, but it’s science or some shit
