Nitrogen toxicity is most probable cause for this.
Leaf stems, as in petioles? If so, this isn’t usually serious. Very common under led lights, sometimes genetically present, and if nutrient related is probably a phosphorus or micronutrient deficiency. But i wouldn’t do anything with this unless it’s lining up with other issues.
I can’t tell from pics you provided, but poor watering habits can do this. Watch to see if you feel it’s spreading quickly as you may need to treat for fungal issue.
Yes the petioles, not too familiar with all the terms yet. But yes the brown spots are appearing quite frequently, ive been treating with a fungicide but it doesnt seem to be helping.
Are you letting your pots dry up and get light between waterings. Water to runoff then allow your plants to dry till your pots are very light. Or you see wilting.
Yes, i was worried about overwatering so i made sure to even go about a 1/2 inch into the soil just to make sure they werent still wet to water. Im thinking about flushing in case its nitrogen toxicity and its giving them potassium deficiency. Ive sprayed with fungicide and it seems there are more of the brown spots on the leaves everyday and i dont want to switch to flower until this problem is dealt with.
Diagnoses can be tricky with cannabis. So many variables you know. Some people are just gifted i think, not me so much. I struggle indoors still. From deficiencies to toxcicities im always chasing my tail. I dont check my run off normally either. Indoors i think you got to learn to do it, or get real good at reading those symptoms, right
Yea this is my first grow and its definitely a humbling moment when it comes to watching your plants develop an issue and you have no idea what to do. Ive googled, asked friends that grow, and this forum and everyone has different answers. Its alot and i dont want to mess it up by doing the wrong thing.
If you’re using the finger method you need to stick your finger in more that 1/2. That method is unreliable at best. Let the pot dry until its light when you pick it up you can even let it go until the plant wilts a little. Pick it up and feel what that weighs. Then water to runnoff and pick it up again get used to what that feels like and only water if the pot feel light.
Hello all😇…I’m a first time grower and have germinated and got small plant in my 3 pots .
It’s almost been 8-9 days now…but there are only 2 main leaves yet…is this normal?
I give it about 8hrs for sunlight and 4-5 hrs of artificial light …I’m from India and the seeds are also native …
How to I not grow the plant to above 5-6ft …needed some help here
Your plants are starting to stretch for the light. If possible, bring the light closer or lift your pots higher. I would also add soil to give it some stability and then introduce some very light circulating air. Your plant will start to thicken up and then you can start some training to keep your plant from getting to 5/6 feet.
Thanks a lot…I was just about to make some lighting changes today…and thinking of bring them under indoor lights …
Any suggestions on what colour leds I should use?
Because I tried getting full spectrum lights…not available at my city
I have been using 100-150Watt LED Bulbs. I needed to put up a temporary setup while I built a new greenhouse so I decided to try these outside string lights and used the highest Watt Light bulbs. I really didn’t want to put too much work or money into a temporary setup so I took a chance and hoped it worked. Needless to say, I still use the same set up in the greenhouse and my plants are doing great!
I’m not being cheap, it just worked out this way. I believe that if your care and energy is good you’ll get good results!
Thank you for your insights…I just upgraded the setup…since it’s been just like a week and half…I have given it more light now…
Hopefully it should be sufficient for now…will add in more lights and a fan for air …if this shows some good results
I had it under the sun for the past week…it’s raining here in India and like you said …it needed more light…and 3/4 plants were just trying to increase its length…
I also added a mix of coco and soil (60:40)and a handful of npk mix also and added a top layer of it to all the plants.
Here are some photos of the new light setup. cheers
Crazy i have a white widow seedling an im trying to see if gonna go gaia green or fox farm this is only my 2nd run. I started some autos that came out as midgets using gaia green my 1st run was sour diesel with the fox farm tho an that was a tree so because of the yield i might go back fox farm.
Hi welcome to the forum! Seedlings stretch looking for the sun, the color of light is important. Higher numbers like 6500k do better so growers use flourescent tubes close to the seedlings. I use 5000k LED (cool white or day-light).
3500k (soft white, warm white bulbs) don’t do well alone.
Hey Jay, thanks for the information buddy.
Yes the plants stretched way too much earlier as I had kept them to sun…and it was raining here so…very little sunlight.
Have put them under indoor lighting from yesterday…use led cool white(6500k) and another blue led…I don’t know the exact specifications of the led but the light seems pretty good and plants are healthy.
It’s my first grow… trying to learn about the plant and it’s behaviour.
Pls let me know if there is anything I could change for a better growth . in
Just curious how accurate are yeilds on seedbank websites? Im looking through seeds trying to get an idea what strain will be up next. Ill be running a SCROG again, with such a small tent every gram counts so i dont wanna run a strain that the breeder says yeilds 1/2 what another strain will yeild.
Any strains in particular yall have had good luck with scroggin?? This is the Blackberry Moonrocks i currently have going.
