Welcome to the Grow Support category

Plants will start to flower with under 14 hours of light per day. Which is why folk just cut their light to 12 hours on, 12 off, make sure that they do! On the bright side, it means you have about another 4 weeks of veg where she will grow bigger!

Saw in your profile your were from Ohio, so I looked up your hours there. Very close to mine (Vancouver, BC area). Outside growing here can be a pita, we get “atmospheric rivers” flow thru late September and October, dumps several inches of rain in a very short time, gotta watch for bud rot here.

Good morning everyone :sun_with_face: I opened my tent and there was a musty smell. Checking out one of my autos I seen what looked like a ball of cotton candy. I read that fungus will have a neon yellow greenish look under a black light so I turned off all of the lights and seen it all over my two auto’s, but not too much on my photo. So I chucked the auto’s and sprayed the heck out of the photo with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide & water, 25/75. Should I water the photo with the same mixture or take it out of the pot & clean the roots, then dip it into the mixture & repot it? I have it in mgpm. Thanks for any advice :pray:

Root rot most likely related to not enough drainage. Perlite helps with this and following a drench to drought routine :love_you_gesture:

Thank you brother! I had them in fabric pots, but the rh was pretty high. I had them in a 3by3 & was planning on putting them in a 4by4 but I had to wait 3 weeks to get the new tent. The auto is 3’ wide so it got pretty crowded in there. I’ll share a picture of it when the lights come on. @Dennis62 is coaching me through the grow cause I’m using his technique. Haven’t talked to you OG for quite a while. I hope your doing good & thanks again :v:

Air movement is your friend when they get crowded

Here’s mine & @Dennis62’S baby. When I drench her do I use the same peroxide and water mixture 25/75. Even with this being the only one in the 4 by 4 the rh is getting into the 60’s & 70’s with the lights out. It’s getting pretty good air movement, the leaves are dancing all around the plant. It’s a oscillating tower fan. I guess I’ll have to get a bigger dehumidifier. I live in Florida and it’s really humid here.

currently on about week 7 with my White Widow Autos, I know they will grow essentially under any light but if I turn it to a flowering light stage would that be beneficial and if so when would be a good time for that? these pics were taken at 1am this morning. Asking as I am seeing beginning of fruiting stages

@Autos-only or @Dman1969 might know

She’s flowering now, so any time you want to switch your lights would be good, imo…

Now . When I used Mh/Hps lights I switched to flower about 2 weeks before I flip for photos, autos a week then I switch back to veg light 2 weeks before harvest on both. You will see a boost in trichs too :sunglasses::v::call_me_hand:

What do you flower your autos at on light schedule? 12/12 or 18/6? Im always wondering if im doing right at the end. I have a hard time getting them to mature. I feel like i dont get the amber trics on my indoor like i do outside. @Dman1969 also, you turn your light schedule back up two weeks before harvest on photo plants too?

Awesome thanks for that info. I will get that switched over to start tonight. I just wasn’t sure if I should let them flower some more or if now was good timing.

currently it is set to 18/6 schedule, 12am-6pm with 2 Spyder farm led lights. 1 is set to a little less time but it is because I can’t control the intensity of the light like the other one but I have it on a timed outlet so I dont run the risk of burning the plants while they were at the younger stage when they weren’t so tall and the light was lowered. but gonna set them to same time frame now since they should be roughly similar intensities. I run majority of my equipment with the Vivosun app connected to the Modulator

Yes I did when I was using those lights. If you want a bigger yeild go 18/6 the whole grow. in my opinion. I’ve done it both ways. I know auto’s are autos and they do there thing. But I believe I’m influencing there decisions :v::call_me_hand:

@WhatsupDoc - Thanks for the kind words and advice. Yeah, it’s a totally different vibe over there that I can’t get with  I am excited to learn from everyone (especially organic growing) and will definitely check out your journal!

I appreciate the tag @kaptain3d

Changing light schedule probably won’t be much for you unless you’re blasting them too much light for to long of a day.

You’re definitely in early flower!! Good work!

Can you give us more info like what soil you’re using, have you started a feeding schedule yet? What’s your input ph and runoff numbers?
Are you doing good wet to dry cycles?
