Week 8 flowering, little seeds appearing

First grow here and I’m near the end of week 8 of flowering for my Granddaddy purple and and little green things that appear to be seeds have started appearing on some of my buds. I didn’t notice them until a today when I was inspecting the trichomes.

Is this normal or has my plant hermied?

Most of the pistils are orange but the trichomes still seem mostly clear so if this isn’t normal I’m not sure what the best course of action is here.

Yeah you got seeds, must have hermied. Nothing to do but ride it out at this point.

Sorry, that’s a seed.
Do you have pics of other buds and the whole plant?

Thanks for the quick replies, I really appreciate the help.

We had several power outage last week, I’m wondering if that’s what caused this so late in flowering. Oh well. I attached a few more pics.

I’ve only got the two plants in the same tent and both seemed to have hermied. I think they are about a week or two away finishing flowering. If it is salvageable would you suggest at this point just let the trichomes finish changing milky then pluck the seeds come harvest?

That wouldn’t do it. It takes weeks to form seeds. Definitely salvageable. Used to have to pick shitloads of seeds out of the brick weed we got back in the day. Some of the seeds may be viable depending on the pollination source

Thanks Bobby,

I guess it’s not a complete loss of it’s still usable and some of the seeds can actually be used. I should probably take a closer look at my plant and look for any other signs of environmental stress and retest PH levels.

Check for a light leak as well. One of the main ways a plant can hermie.

I just noticed that my calyx were splitting and making seeds, found male flowers. Turns out I bumped my light timer and it was turning on in the middle of dark time for 15 minutes!!! Going to digital timer lol but yeah I’m going to ride it out…

I bumped my timer as well one day, fortunately I caught it before it was too late. I checked my tent and I couldn’t see any light leaks, however I did go back through my notes and may have found the culprit.

Week 5 of flowering I butchered my poor plants by hacking off a lot of fan leaves since they were blocking a lot of my buds. In retrospect I should’ve known better, everywhere I read said you shouldn’t do extensive pruning or trimming in flowering. But I neglected to do it the week or two before triggering flowering. I was so worried about the buds getting light I didn’t think of the consequences and got a little trim happy.
