Vegetables and flowering

If I plan to grow vegetables indoors, do the same rules apply as far as they will continue to grow and not flower until a 12/12 schedule?

I currently have my MJ plants on 12/12 to flower but would like to start some vegetable seeds indoors before transplanting outside. Will the 12/12 be detrimental?

I start all my veg inside under 12/12
Never had any problems. Besides I want the tomatoes to start producing.

Good question i dont think it is the same with vegetables it would be more like a 18/6 cycle i don’t think theres a need for a 12/12 flowering cycle for vegetables i could be wrong i dont know

I want to start the seeds under 12/12 then plant them outside in like a month.
I am going to give it a shot. From what I’ve heard from you two I don’t think there should be an issue.

I currently have twenty tomato plants under 12/12 and they look great.
About 4 or 5 inches tall and ready for transplant. We have a frost danger tomorrow night but Tuesday is looking good. Our frost danger should be over now.

I’m stoked. I’m going to do some peppers, sunflowers, and other veggies. I’m going to start closer to May though. I’m in the Northeast and feel like we can get snow through mid may sometimes.

Yes another grower of veggies. I will be starting my seedlings camp got MJ in pots germinating. Tomatoes go in the pots Peat small ones. Can’t wait and got a seedling heat mat, Looking forward to this year Never started seeds for the garden inside ever. @Spiney_norman I also have trimmed the catnip in the tent based on knowledge gleaned here.

Old blurple lights work well for sprouting seedlings.
I do tomatoes same as weed. Soak overnight and into a wet paper towel for a couple days.
They will show a root and then I plant it. Works great.

I started my veggies last Friday. I’m having trouble keeping them moist which all the airflow for flowering. I started tomatoes, Jalapeños, and cucumbers. I’m in Ohio and it got down to 31 last night. Brrrr

Tell me about it! I am in NY and part of the state (not me fortunately) was issues a winter storm warning.

I am debating if it is still too early to put down lawn fertilizer to prevent crabgrass.

I know March 21st is supposed to be the first day of Spring, sure doesn’t feel like it!

Anyone know if these are dead or should I wait and see? I brought them inside under a basic led for now :man_shrugging:

Also made this little spot last night for some propagation

Middle image is dead from frost.
Others may survive

these are growing like crazy on 12/12. One has it’s third flower, at less than a month old.
