This is a question about 12-12 lighting for plants.
So I am growing another round of GDP and I am going to be changing the light cycle in a week over to 12/12. My question has to do with my Thai chili peppers that are under that same lighting. My chili plants are still small and wondering if once i change the light over to 12/12 will the peppers flower and fruit as well?
Do all indoor grown plants flower once the light goes to a 12/12 cycle?

Hi I don’t think they’ll flower because you changed your light cycle to 12/12! I’m currently growing Serrano peppers and I’m at a 18/6 schedule and they’re flowering right now. I think you’ll be fine and they’ll grow as is. Send pics of them!
Peppers are not a photoperiodic plant like cannabis is. They will flower when they reach the age where they are mature enough to flower without regard to the light cycle.

So peppers can be treated somewhat like an autoflower?

I think I’m gonna drop some jollypaynos (jalapeños) and give it a go. Thanks!
