I’m still a little confused because to get a vapor you have to boil, heat to roughly 315 degrees Fahrenheit but THC converts at a much lower temperature… I guess im missing something and will have to keep researching…

What are your thoughts on the decarbing thing? Im confused here…
@BradsBudsMT I believe if I’ve read right that the thc acid must be either heated or burned to turn it into the type of thc that we enjoy.
Its heated by your pen im pretty sure… Otherwise what is the pen for… Sorry I’m sincerely wanting to understand but my brain aint getting it…

Your pen isn’t hitting burn type heat only low vape heat which is not enough to convert THC Acid to THC
But to achieve a vapor in the first place your pen has to heat it to at least 315 degrees… Now there are THC inhalers for which the content must be decarbed because no heat at all is applied to dispense it. I guess im just gonna have to agree to disagree

I didn’t decarb mine and it seemed fine. I suppose there is possibility of variance depending on device used though.

I’m doing a batch just to see now. Im positive you dont have to decarb after looking around now… Ot just doesn’t make any sense. Vaporizing is vaporizing no matter which way you spin it. Now think about a dry herb vaporizer, I’m used to the old style oven-looking ones you plug a hose into. Your weed doesn’t “burn” at all but your thc vaporized off. Now the last time I used one I didnt have to decarb my weed before vaping it that seems kind of redundant. 2 volt pens on average heat up to like 350 degrees which instantly converts your thca into thc… This is just from reading so far but im literally in the process of doing a batch of rosin right now though to test this. Had me intrigued anyway

So I just finished the batch without decarbing… And I’m baked as hell… There’s a picture of the batteries I tested with. The brass knuckles has lower voltage settings than the one pictured
earlier in this thread so its not about the device. My final answer; no decarb required. And just a side note, I’m not a pro with carts but I’m not new to them either…

P.S. those carts are filled with distillate, they were just a reference as to my experience with carts lol… It wouldnt let me edit to point out that I did not just fill all those carts just now with rosin . I only did a small batch of rosin without decarbing it.

This guy put the first video out that was Awsome and he decarb his. He also filters it but said hash rosin works better if you don’t filter it really depends on the device your using and the cart your using thats why I would like to buy some rosin specific carts that are available to me here in Canada.
I have one of these new honey stick sub ohm vape that will hit like 35 watts, but I swear they should have put a better mouthpiece on it as it will burn ur lips off on high!
I haven’t purchased a good device yet I was looking at the Dr dabber stella or the honeybadger hitter

I think I can simply swirl my rosin with a drop of the dilutant and put it straight in this sub ohm vape but Im gonna make the carts for the ol lady. I really ain’t wanted none of it as I just harvested several WW autos that I grew outside and am happily just rolling it up in joints! Been a fairly good year this year and if I can get these vape carts down pat I will say it’s been a great year.

I have the dilutent but I have yet to see any tutorials use it so I havent user mine.
I bought 2 terps and the dilutent but no terp profile and using just 2 terps makes it way way to strong on those terps so if u can kit work (Il get more time at the end of the month) then I’ll dive right in and make my own terp profiles because buying the pre mixed stuff is a bit pricey.
It’s just making from scratch is a whole rabbit whole of its own…
I may really enjoy that aspect though because I can mix terps at work and while genetics Intrest me the cost of getting into DNA shotguning and breeding and cas 9 alterations is just to rich for me currently.
Price should drop on that in the next 5-10 years though. Maybe then I can set up a little DNA lab and have enough space to grow 1gallon testers to hunt genetics
