Using P4P 5-gal Grow Guide with Different Products (a necessary experiment)

First, Hello All. This community is great.

I need to explain my “necessity” behind this substitute grow experiment. My first grow was with p4p 5-gal kit. It was great paired with the ilgm forum/Debacco University on yt. My jack herrer was like 5ft by harvest (june 28th). Anyway, I wanted to immediately start my next 2 grows feeling confident with my ability through research and p4p amazing kit/active plant support that I could now start 2 5-gal grows simultaneously using p4p. But, per p4p they are down until further notice but are working on being active again. So I’m stuck with having to wing it somehow with limited budget/plan. It is time for a research experiment, how to grow for around p4p prices but use best amazon available quality after research/talking to companies. Here is my cross-post from this morning:

Using p4p 5-gal instructions:
About 20 minutes ago I just started 2 5-gal pots with the following from Amazon:

•Purple Cow IndiCanja Soil: $41 filled 2 5-gal pots about 70% each
•Nutrifield Coco Perlite 70/30: $18
•Smart Grower Mycorrhizal Fungi w/Bac: $15
•Food grade diatomaceous earth: $10

TOP SOIL MIXTURE: I mixed about 6 cups soil with about 2 gallons Coco Perlite, 2.5 teaspoons of mycorrhizal fungi, and a 4 tablespoons diatomaceous earth

GROWING MEDIUM: Pure Purple cow soil a little under 4 gallons in the pots

I evenly split the topsoil mixture and added it to the soil filled pots then sprinkled a little diatomaceous earth on top. The diatomaceous earth is because on Amazon reviews many soil brands had the potential of gnats and I grow in my walk-in-closet (in a legal state). My ilgm Jack Herrer autoseeds are in jiffy pellets in a lighted seed tray and at the sign of cotyledons I’m putting them in their forever pots. I’ll keep you updated with this grow. It ended up being about the same cost wise as p4p but I have enough left-over coco/fungi/DE for the next round of 2 pots come October-ish and will only need to spend the soil/seeds for the next grow. I want to emphasize this is not a review just an experiment to see what results a good system with special-grade (s/o Gojo) products will yield. This is only my second time growing please feel free to offer tips/insights/just chat I’m
