No @Tonyb I was saying exhaust of 100 and intake of maybe 80 cfm or a little less
You could get two 100 cfm fan one for exhaust and one for intake with a speed controller for intake that should always run slower than your exhaust
It’s a small tent bro
I’ll add I don’t heat or cool tent I heat and cool my grow room and allow fans to do the rest
My humidifier is also outside tent in grow room
Look up in line bathroom exhaust fans @Tonyb
@Jmesser80 you can try that it may help for a little bit but I my experience once they start making noise it doesn’t get better brother
Mine is just noisey cuz it blows sooo much air. Any fans you know of and can recommend for me with 100 cfms? I can’t find any on Amazon ;'(

@GetbackJoJo
@Tonyb
You will have to use a 4" fan to get down to 100cfm. You can get one using a booter type like I have. Mines a 6" fan.

You would think that more air flow thru the tent would help keep the temps down, but I found the opposite occurred. Since putting a speed control on my exaust fan and slowing it way down, the temps have actually dropped 5 to 6 deg.
So I can use just a booster?
@Tonyb
Thats what I use. Two 6" 200cfm booster fans. One for intake, one for exhaust.
The 4" boosters are 100cfm. and cheap! Mine are in a 3x3 tent.
@Tonyb
And if you put a speed control on the intake fan to slow it down, you can get neg. tent pressure.
This tent is so small I’m thinking I might just put a normal window fan behind the tent in front of the passive are flap it has and then have an exhaust with a carbon filter on top
@Rugar89 this tent only has one hole for a fan on the top of the tent n it’s litterally on the top of the tent. Can u recommend any fans that could have a 4 inch carbon filter attached to it? Would a booster like you were talking about be able to have a carbon filter attached to the back end? I’ll take a pic of the 2 filters I have so you can see what I’m working with
@Tonyb
What did you buy for a fan? Why not just put a speed controller on it to slow it way down? It will get way quieter.
I have this speed controller.

If it was me I would use what you already have and just plug it into the speed controller. Looks like a nice fan.
Just take note that it wont work on a brushless motor. So make sure yours isn’t.
That def would make that fan work for me… But I still need to find a fan for my exhaust and need to be very light weight cuz of the dumb design of this tent. Would one of those fans u posted able to have a filter attached. Those I think are the lightest I’ve seen on Amazon
The photos I posted are my exhaust system. ( first picture) The filter is in the tent with the duct running out the top of the tent. (second picture) Shows the ducting coming out of the tent that’s attached to the filter inside the tent, and connected to the exhaust fan on the top of the tent.
Ohh I see. And that’s probably like what a ft of venting? That 17$ fan and a lil ducting n all be all set. Oh and that Lil control thing
Just put it all in my Amazon cart, 45$ xD! I’m gunna order with my buddy’s prime account tmrw so I can get it in 2 days for free ;). Thank you so much for the help!!! @Rugar89 you are a gentleman and a scholar
No problem man.
But you can just buy the speed controller. Id just use the fan you have. If your worried about the weight on top of the tent, mount the filter against the side of the tent (inside the tent) running it front to back with the flange for the ducting facing back of tent. Then hang the fan that you already have with bungy cords where my filter is in the picture against the back wall. Then connect the ducting between the filter and the fan, and ducting from fan out the top of the tent. Not sure what that filter looking thing is on the end of your fan. Just take it off and hook the ducting to it.
I still need an exhaust fan though. I’m getting the controller for my fan so I can use it for my intake. Do u think I need a controller for that Lil guy u posted?
Run yours as a exhaust fan, and don’t use a intake fan. At least for now. That’s a good fan and you can pull air in from vents with no intake fan. If you find you need a intake fan, then buy the cheap booster fan and use it as your intake. Just put a speed controller on your exhaust fan and you should be good to go.
Ok. Thank you for.the advice man!
