I somehow got two seeds started in the same pot. How early should I transplant one of the seedlings?
Thanks in

I would suggest transplanting one of the seeds into another pot as soon as you can.
You don’t want roots to be entangled which could harm the plants.
Cool problem. Do you have another pot with nothing coming up?
Yes, I have an empty pot. I’m thinking I should transplant one asap. What say you?
you need to be miraculously careful when pulling and or separating them and removing from the soil. If they are big enough they may require soil scooped from around them. Itd be great if you u have pictures.
they just sprouted yesterday. Brand new plants right next to one another.
@kalani53 what is your starter mix. Something like Pro Mix with high peat moss content? If so, an option that may work is what I have done when I have had the same situation with vegetable and flower seeds that I have started. Immerse the entire soil ball into enough water as to loosen the roots from the material. Let it soak until you see starter material separating from the root. Carefully separate the two. Immediately place into prepared starter soil and carefully water in. If they do not separate without damaging both, you may need to sacrifice one to save the other. Or, get a larger final grow pot and try growing them together. No clue if this is advisable but may be interesting. Good luck
If you can get the soil out around the roots and put in a bowl of water all the dirt will gently fall away as stated above, and you should be able to carefully replant each in soil just like you were taking them out of the paper towel and planting for the first time.
Good Luck.
Thanks Beardless! Last night I very carefully removed the tiny plants in to metal tin. The soil fell away and I was left to two 1 day old plants. Re-potted both with plenty of water. This morning they look good,
@kalani53 well done you are your way
