I’m a little late but that’s one beautiful plant
Thanks!
Happy Thanksgiving, all!
I’ll post an update soon on the plants, they are doing well.
Stop it with the Pink flopping thing there… You’ll only excite @Fieldofdreams again…
Who? Oh, you must mean Alan.
That Julia, she could really do a lot with a turkey!
The plants are moving right along and have been on autopilot, as they haven’t needed much (ongoing) training and such.
In the front is Vera the CBDV, who has stayed a bit short, but seems happy and is filling out.
Liza the NYC , in the back in a 1-gallon bag, is bigger, lol, maybe my biggest 1-galloner so far.
There usually is that one cola that’s taller, Vera also has one, though on both plants they are “side” branches, not from the mains.
The NYC:
Happy Halloween, errrr, Thanksgiving.
Yesterday at Costco, we bought a gigantic mega air fryer, I guess I should go unbox it now, lol. No turkey, but two chickens and purple sweet potatoes and maybe other stuff, and a strong ale or two … well, that’s the plan.
Thanks, hope that you did also! Looked good!
We ended up having hamburger patties and salad, lol! Beer and chocolate afterwards. It got too late to fiddle with the new device, along with the cooking time. But, we had a very relaxing T-giving, probably the most relaxing ever.
Wow, such frosty ladies!
Well done Madame de la Dork!
Looking SWEET! Very pretty as always.
Thanks!
I forgot to note the red on some of the NYC’s leaves, due to cooler lights-out temps. She might have some nice leaf colors in late flower.
@Fiz I hope that all is going OK with your hubby!
Thanks! I think he’s finally going to be discharged to subacute rehab very soon, maybe even tomorrow. I hope so - though he’s been unusually patient (ah ha, ha, ha) for him in a hospital, he’s ready to get the hell out and start learning things like how to walk again.
It’s wonderful having “him” back - we were entertaining the nurse with our two man act.
Ah, good to hear!
How about today? Just got the phone call. Hooray!
Hooray, indeed!
Liza the NYC’s leaves have developed more red/purple colors. They look more vibrant in person, but you get the idea. Last night:
Her scent is wonderful and somewhat loud – mostly sweet, with some funk and a touch of citrus.
Vera the CBDV’s scent is nearly non-existent. Only when I get my nose very close, do I pickup faint scents of fuel and plastic. LOL.
Vera is doing well, I don’t have a latest pic. Though short, she’s building her buds and has some orange developing in her pistils.
Well done
Well if one of them was going to have a faint scent, better its the one that would probably really stink if she put forth the effort. Fuel and plastic sounds like quite the cringe combo.
I don’t find it too bad; in fact, it kinda reminds me of garden hose, of which I have fond memories, lol. When I was a small child, I used to like drinking out of those in the summer, and in a weird way, I somewhat enjoyed that plastic smell.
And I was the kid who heavily sniffed the moist, fresh, hot-off-the-press copies of papers that teachers would hand out. You likely know what I mean, I forget the name of that printer technology in the 70s. Mimeograph?
All that probably wasn’t great to drink from and sniff, and maybe that explains some things.
So anyway, Vera’s tiny scent kinda reminds me of some of my better childhood memories.
But I still much prefer Liza’s scent.
Yup, mimeograph. When I went to my second assignment as a teacher, the closet in my room had a big azz bottle of the fluid used in the mimeograph machines, and the special paper used to create the forms. White top layer, purple underneath.
I loved the smell of fresh mimeographed papers as a kid also.
