As you mentioned, lights intermittently found “ON” during Off time.
Unsure if Me, updates, or corrupt software was cause.
Level control initiated by 69P (steps 0-10) and breaker control (ON/OFF HARD) with the 75’s.
Excessive but it works.
Over the last couple of days, I have been manually turning on and off the lights while testing the following:
- Potential poor grounding or overloaded outlet–moved one tent electrical plugs to one outlet/source and the second tent to a different source.
- Potential bad UIS cable--replaced and tested controller function with clip and inline fans.
- Controller malfunction or glitchy firmware–performed firmware update on both controllers, deleted and reinstalled iPhone app. Tested functionality between app and controller. Tested GOOD.
As of this evening, the lights have stayed on and now respond to both the onboard controller and the iPhone app. Lights out scheduled for 7:30 PM CDT, fingers crossed this fixes all.
Hope all is fixed.

Well, now I have a complete failure with light#2. It will not come on at all. Back to square 1.
Well crap!
I gave up and ordered a new 4x4 light, with the updated diodes, it will not be here until Friday though so I’m moving all of my gals into the one functioning tent until then.

Wow, that really sucks. What kind of light was it that failed? Any warranty?
But it’s fun to get a new updated light. What did you go with? I just got a Mars Hydro FC 8000 EVO. I would have like to stay with ACI, but I was trying to save a few bucks.
It was the Ac Inf Ionboard 4x4, warranty expired about 6 months ago. It has been on for about 20 out of the last 24 months through about 8 harvests. I went back with AC Inf, but I have sent a tech support request to see if my old unit can be repaired.
From a technical standpoint I would love the know what was wrong with it. If they fix it let us know.
Me too bro, I spoke with the customer service line yesterday, they are going to have a tech support/repair reach out to me Friday 1/24 (that is when my replacement is scheduled to arrive). I will reply to all when I know more. Oh, and thanks for following along!
one thing i would be kind curious about, is if you happen to have one of those plug in watt meters, how much watts and amps it draws if plugged in using the dimmer on the light, not running through the controller.
