Trimming around the stem

I’m new to this. my first 2 plants are about 15 inch now. the stem has several nice leaves. where the leaves growing from the stem i noticed a new , leave like looking growing. do I leave it or trim it?

That’s what you want leave all them leaves alone it’s normal and healthy.

So no need to trim anything at all?

NO Don’t trim anything unless it’s for air flow thru the plant. What I see you could take off the bottom leaves but that’s it.

Get a flexible plant tie.

Those zip ties will cut into your stem.

Plants look great and would only trim to improve airflow and light penetration and this plant has both :love_you_gesture:
