To worry or not purple stalk

Stalk turned purple. Newbie grower wondering where I went wrong. Any advice greatly appreciated!

I vote not worry. That happens quite often on some strains. It is the plants sunscreen. How is the plant doing otherwise?

To me it looks a lil sick but honestly have no clue. Very new grower here

There are tons of reasons a plant might turn purple. Temp, P deficiency, stress, or it could just be genetic and nothing to worry about. She does look a little on the rough side. How long has she been in flower? What are you using for nutes and how often?

Normal…

Agree she is a little rough…before we can give much advice we need to know a little more about your grow. Please copy and paste the below list into a reply and answer what you can. Looks like alot, but no worries if you do not know, do the best you can. Lots of good growers here that can help diagnose with the right info.

A support ticket will help us help you. Can you please fill out a support ticket? Please include what type of water you are using (RO, distilled, tap.)

Shes week 11 in ground autoflower. Week 7.5 of flowering. Stopped nutes early this week.(flushing) which I will never do again

I have to agree with a second look.

Some strains will be more prone to it, but colder temps are the other main cause of purple stems.

Mag or phosphorous deficiencies can impact as well, but the plant looks overfed.

The pic of the whole plant tells me there are other issues going on. WHat soil are you using, what do you feed the plant, and what are your runoff pH an PPM numbers if you know them?

lol I bet that’s grow myth #1 that you need to flush at the end. The only time flushing is needed is if the plant is overfed(possible…likely even). It’s probably a little late to really see things turn around on that plant(she will still smoke though), but we can definitely try to troubleshoot and improve the next one. Like everyone has already pointed out, the extra info from the support ticket @Riskguy provided will help us do that. If your not sure about something just ask and we can explain further.

A buddy took some of mine back home to Wisconsin and his guys up there were bragging on the taste and they said this guy knows what he’s doing with flushing, awesome flavor and no aftertaste! I was laughing and told him to tell them I flushed them all right , with MC1 right up till chop! :smiling_face_with_sunglasses::oncoming_fist:

I currently have an autoflower in my room that did the same it started in the leaves stem to the stalks i thought i was shorting on phosphorus and ended up being too late but you could feed till harvest anyways

I think she has an uptake issue. There is a lockout somewhere. probably Phosphorous. Are you diligent in your PH control? At this point 6.5-6.8 is a good spot. Much leaf damage. Far in but you will finish fine. I would pluck the dead stuff and work on getting the flowers through. The tops of them are showing stress at the tips which is not what we want. New growth there should be bright green and fresh looking. Just my thoughts. Purple stems is super common with some strains. As mentioned above it can also indicate a deficiency.

1300 PPFD is enhanced CO2 territory, the point where more than likely you’d need to provide more than ambient levels. Try 1000 PPFD and see how she reacts. you can always raise or lower the level after seeing how she acts. For my grow conditions, just around 1100 PPFD was my max level my plants could take under my grow conditions (no enhanced CO2).
