Tied down plants in flowering

I have a bunch on stems tied down, my question is once I flip the light schedule for flowering do I need to release the tied down to stretch or do I keep them tied down. Appreciate the feed back as always.

I would say keep them tied down. They will still stretch upward creating a nice even canopy for good light distribution.
