I started this on Oct 28th. It’s an outdoor grow (Fla). This is a Jack H plant JCK-FAP5-bin 03:08:05. I have been using Bergman’s plant food. I started it with grow lighting and moved outdoors by day 7. I trimmed it prior to sending pics, which I’m not sure if that was the right thing to do.
A few questions for the pros- 1. Should it have been bushier? 2. Would it have helped to put it under grow light at night, sun during the day. 3. Most importantly- how close am I to a timely harvest?
Any and all advice is appreciated.

Bud-dah:
Nice looking plant.
IMHO you have a ways to go. Keep up the good work. I am raising two Jock Horror’s right now and they are in week 11 since germination. I expect them to go about 15 to 16 weeks from germination (on an indoor grow. I grow on an 18/6 light schedule. Your situation will be different in an outdoor grow.
You should purchase a jewelers loupe or a small electronic microscope to REALLY get an answer to your when to harvest question.
For example, here is a photo of an Bubbilicious on day 94 of her grow. I expect top harvest within a week:
Yeah let her fatten up. Get the loupe and it all depends on what you’re looking for. Also, don’t look at the sugar leaves, look at the actual buds about 1/4 to 1/3rd way down the plant
She’s a thing of beauty for sure! Thanks for the kudos and the feedback! Makes me feel alot better about a timeline estimate (14+ wks). And, I will be purchasing a loupe immediately. That pic at 94 days is not only instructive, it’s amazing! Very nice!
I am curious as to whether an autoflower is just genetically small in stature.Maybe by design? She didn’t get much of a canopy but I’m ok with that. I don’t expect much of a yield but whatever it is, it’s good medicine. I’m a happy camper any way I look at it.
Cheers!

Welcome to the community! You will learn a lot here! Happy growing and welcome to my addiction (growing that is)
Feel free to tag me any time, if I don’t know the answer I’m sure I can find someone who can! I don’t know anything about auto flowers but I found this:
The small size and short life cycle of autoflowers come with a tradeoff: smaller harvests. Their compact stature means they can’t produce as many bud sites as a taller photoperiod plant."

That’s why I like doing a photo plant with my autoflower. I veg out the photo plant the whole time the autoflower is growing and budding on an 18-6 schedule then when the autoflower is done flip the lights to 12/12 and bud out the photo plant. Only caveat to that is if you are growing indoor you have to have a good place to dry your plant other than the tent. And you have to do a lot of topping and training to keep the photo in under control

Bud-dah: You are getting some great answers to your questions.
The only extra comment I would make is my motto for 2021: “Keep growing . . . Keep learning”.
Just yesterday (1/6/2021) I discovered a solution to a problem that almost wiped out not one grow, but everything in my grow room (two grows)!
The problem?
Since before Christmas ALL of my grows (all of my plants) - the leaves were turning yellow - YIKES!!!
The solution? I suspected my PH measuring device was starting to give me erroneous readings (it was). This is an interesting issue, since I have only grown organically since I started. I purchased an excellent PH tester and it turns out the problem was the idiot taking the measurements - yours truly. Nevertheless, I discovered the problem with the measuring device AND with local water supplies too. I talked to someone else who had a similar issue and how he solved them.
As I said . . . “Keep growing . . . keep learning!!!”
