Think I finally found the balance

My last (first) grow I spent most of my time chasing issues. From pH to nutrient issues, heat humidity and so on. I mean I got across the finish line better than I deserve, but I thought I could do better.
Everyone’s circumstances are unique. Im in an attic with foam insulation in rafters. Have an open duct in the space. But tent temps easily got into the upper 80s to low 90s mid day with last setup. But I have been able to maintain 72-79 degree range now for a few weeks

I live in the Deep South experiencing the hottest summer we’ve had in some time. My top lights are 4x aero light 100 by vivosun with the controller i can change color spectrum from seedling veg and flower. Not user definable. Can control duct fan and circulation fan speeds as well and the fans in the center of the lights. I’m really thrilled with how much better this is going! But even with the efficiency of these lights, the big deal was changing my lights to off during the hottest part if the day, leaving the fans on. Turn off at 11am and on at 5p

Looks great! I might pluck a few of the really big fan leaves that are shading lower branches at this point. Hard to take such healthy pretty leaves but it’s better in the long run.

Instead of plucking, may i suggest a little lst? You can pull the branches down to open up the canopy. Youll see suprised how kuch growth youll get! By the way, im.in the deep south too. Im growing in a metal shop, having to remodel the flower room because im i cant keep temps down

Needs both TBH. I would take these and anything similar down in the skirt and other side then tie the mains down flat.

Ive been tucking the big leaves if the are blocking new growth. Just beginning to clip things in the way. Granted im new to this but I look at leaves as photon collectors. So as long as they get enough light to pull their weight without blocking new branches. Also after it stunted for a whole month im nervous to stunt it again lol. Planning to add more side lights. Lst is definitely on the docket

I would not trim the leaves just yet, in my opinion. You are right-they are bringing the growth to the plant. If you have adequate air flow I do not believe it will be a problem leaving them on. I only take leaves of in veg if they are damaged or have a pest problem.
