They Just Look Happier

Ok, so maybe this is and maybe this ain’t the right room for me to be in, but I THINK it is. We’ll wait and see if I get the Boot or not… That was me waiting. Jk. Anyway, I would just like to say that while I would like to do the LST tie down on the gals and that I start doing it each time, I always wind up undoing it after a couple of days. Then the day after I undo it they gals will have grown 3 or 4 inches and spread their leaves and they just look so darn happy. You know? However, I know it’s best to tie them down because we want light at every possible inch of our tents. So usually I wind up trimming, ok overtrimming, so they get more light and idw do that this time. I was thinking that maybe I could only tie down the big suckers that soak up the sun for them. Would it be alright to only tie those down? I just know that I don’t want to tie every branch down. Anybody have any words of wisdom on this subject?

See how happy?

There’s 2 ways to go about this, imo :

1: You defoliate or move leaves around to get the most light to budsites. That should give you bigger, denser buds.

2: You tie branches down to open up the plant and redirect the apical dominance. Instead of having one main cola and lots of smaller buds, this technique should give you more colas, though slightly smaller…

Well, that’s kinda what I do already. I top them to get them to split into 2 each and then I tie them down. It’s the tying them down that I don’t like doing. So I would defoliate throughout like you said, but then get yelled at for doing too much. So I guess that I will just keep on keeping on with it then. Thanks Dude

Not always, some strains are built to grow wide for indoor. Try the Ocifer strain from Brothers Grim. No LST is necessary.

It’s up your personal opinion…
My tent is so full I had to take some small stuff from underneath and thin them out some…
One or two days they bush right back up…

I’ll look into it @2GreenThumbs .
@ScottsBuds , yeah I’ve done that too. I just hate it though. Seems like a waste. Of course idky they don’t grow that fast before we have to clip those budders off. Imagine if they did.
