Your bud photos and cola photos are intense! They are unbelievable! The shine and the colors are to die for! Carpenter you’ve gotten a lot of practice in the harvest field, could you please tell me your method of harvesting the huge foot-long colas? Do you just cut the stalk just below the cola and let it hang in one piece upside down?(and for how long?),or do you break it open and loosen up all the bud that the cola consists of so it gets air? I think I’m just a couple days away from harvesting my super skunk auto and this will be my first harvest and I would hate to screw it up.(I’m having problems seeing through the jewelers loop that “a pot for pot” sent me so I ordered a pair of Vivosun’s and they can’t get here fast enough:) oh, and can you tell me what a grove bag is? I’ve read up about putting the bud in a brown colored mason jar and burping it once a day and I believe the RH should be 62% when done? Please correct me if I’m wrong. I bought some 8g 62% Boveda packets to put in the jars after the bud is dry to keep it fresh and hydrated, am I supposed to do that? I guess it would be a lot easier just to ask you if you could please tell me how to harvest my plant lol. I saw that Dennis would empty the jar out onto a brown paper bag and let it sit for a few hours a day, do you also do that?
Could you also tell me the full name of that beautiful blue strain and where that and the candyland can be had? I searched for the candy land at ILGM and a few other banks but was unsuccessful at finding. I guess I’m out on a hunt for answers tonight:), thank you very much Carpenter for any info or help you can send my way. I hope you won’t mind if I post a couple pics on your board to see if you think this is ready for harvest, I’m so scared I’m gonna mess the correct time. Thanks carpenter!
Oh ya!! @Dman1969@Claybo thank you for the compliments. I used to dry in cardboard boxes. Until the @Dman1969 and @Druiddescent help me dry in paper bags. I layer the bottom of the paper bag only seal it up and let it hang. 5 to 12 days. From there into mason jars, at 62%. Burping once to twice a day. For two weeks. Then seal the jar 21 days later she’s cure! The larger colas take more time, A grove bag, is a curing method and long storage method. With grove bags, there is no need for the burping in the jar. Once dried to 62% place in grove bags seal put in the dark place and leave it alone! I hope I answered all your questions. Your plant looks great. Still not done though, looks like about at least another week or two
Thank you very much Carpenter for your opinion, your opinion comes highly rated!, and thank you for the tutorial on harvesting, you cleared quite a few things up for me, thx! (gonna have to roll my sleeves up for this one),
and Dman thanks for your opinion also, like I said I was worried and didn’t want to miss harvesting the first cola of my life at the wrong time. Thx D! Oh, I love that saying, from the floor up! lol, I’m gonna use that someday, but don’t worry, you coined it!
You’re welcome @Claybo! I would love to bring you guys and girls into my room just for a smell, a little bit of citrus a little bit of fruit with a tangy skunk! That description probably isn’t even close but I’m in here smelling right now. Lol cheers y’all
Beautiful looking bud, gotta love those palm size beauties!
btw, what’s a nanner? I know it’s got to be a bug that eats your plant, but what exactly is it? Do they appear on outside plants or can they just suddenly appear on an inside plant? Has that plant been outside or has it always been indoors? Are cannabis growers supposed to inspect every bud on every plant every other day or something to make sure that doesn’t happen? I really couldn’t see what it looked like, it was kind of like a blurry photo. Hope you remedied the situation and all is good!!
