Take it to a plant store and ask if they can test it for you. Its invaluable in your kit.

Strongly suggest you acquire a digital PH meter. Something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/Apera-Instruments-AI209-Waterproof-Accuracy/dp/B01ENFOHN8/?tag=greenrel-20

Drops are not really accurate enough for our uses and the moment you supplement, it changes the color; making it useless.

TDS meter is an incredibly valuable tool to monitor the salts in your root zone, which affects whether you water or supplement. And you WILL supplement at some point if container growing cannabis.

That’s great. I’ll look into one

Will any buffer solution work for this model?

Yes, storage solution or use the 4.01 solution as the glass bulb needs to remain moist at a low PH. Otherwise the bulb dries out and ruins the meter. I keep a bottle of 7.0 Standard Reference Solution on the bench to ‘verify’ calibration on my meter.

Your tds meter should be good. I have a similar one that is still accurate over 2 years later. The ph meter you don’t want to cheap out on.
