Got my new microscope and was anxious to try it out. I trimmed a couple sugar leaf tips and photographed them.
I’m not so much concerned about the trichomes situation, but rather the image quality. Can I do better, or is this about all I can expect to get? BTW the plant is a auto Gorilla Cookies.
Pics don’t look too bad, I’ve had 2 scopes and one was much better than the other, they do vary in optical quality. My biggest issue is getting a steady shot. The top one looks good, the bottom looks a bit shakey, hopefully that’s not a pube in there
I placed my scope on a tripod to hold it steady. They do take a bit to get the hang of but they give awesome shots of Trichomes.
Get a microphone stand from Amazon.
So I took these this afternoon, i use a mic stand that way i don’t have to trim anything off. Two different plants. I am about a week or so out maybe 10 days
I would check in 10 day see where you’re at remember you sacrifice weight by cutting early
I found it helpful to turn the digiscope light down. To bright and it makes milky look clear
I’ll get another pic today this evening. See what they look like. So after chop just hang? Temp and humidity suggestions? First ever harvest.
There are different ways to do it but all have these in common: keep area dark , fan below hung plant material gently moving air , try to keep temps in low 60s humidity around 50%. If your have trouble keeping humidity down run exhaust fan.
Do a search on it here there is a lot if info.
So just checked without the led light on. Seems to be more clear than cloudy. So go another week and see what she does. No drink for 7days and give her a check? I’ve done some searching but since no computer it’s kinda hard to navigate and find what I’m looking for. I’ll keep researching.
Temp and humidity both as close to 60 as you can get, take off any big fan leaves but don’t strip them all. Leaving some to slow drying process (check out videos on YouTube) hang whole plant ( minus the rootball ) i know your saying no shit Sherlock but trust me there is someone out there thinking oh ok, anyways and a fan or two just to make plants move ever so slightly keep in the dark as much as you can for how long it takes, thats what’s worked for me and im doing it tomorrow or the day after i hope.
I would say at least a week maybe two keep an eye on those trichomes. I don’t see any Amber in there at all.
