Hey all,
Newbie here with a question regarding where to sample temperature in my 3’ X 4’ tent. I’m doing DWC with a 600W MH, standard 206 cfm fan, aux. fan, as well as a Hepa filtered fan, ballast is external, and it is located in my basement. I have a couple of digital thermometers/hygrometers set inside, which leads me to asking the following. One of the probes is located near a corner, 2 feet above the floor (which reads in the 74-77 degree range), and one located, almost directly below the grow light, well, actually on the top of the bucket, (which reads in the 83-89 range). That’s quite a difference! Which reading should I rely on? Or should I measure somewhere else? Help me, please!
Hello there and welcome to the forum. I measure at the canopy for both temp and humidity
I try to measure at or near the top of the canopy
I measure at the top of the canopy too.
Wow…you guys are great for replying, it’s truly appreciated! I haven’t spoke much here on the forum, but I’ve gotten a lot of great tips, advice, and am aware that it seems like most people on here are very nice, and helpful. Thanks so much, I’m feeling a bit more confident now!
Ditto. Around the top of canopy. I hang an outdoor remote temp sensor there and have the display where I can see it without going to the grow room. I keep one or two per tent and two in my grow room. A drop in temp during the day also warns me the lights might be out. (Pulling some juice!)
Welcome to the community ! I got a temp gauge hanging inside the tent about halfway down. And also monitor temperature in the area I’m pulling fresh air from.
This forum is a great place to learn. Nobody will shout you down here my friend
