Yea I’m forever in debt to the fine gentleman that introduced to the Jack’s. I grow in Roots Organic Original, thanks to him as well
I grow in 7gal fab pots I feed roughly every 6 days to overflow. And pH water and recharge every other feed. So she gets water every 3/4 days only issue to pay attention on Jack’s is to be sure the “A” part gets completely dissolved before adding anything else
I noticed that it mentioned something about mixing them. I’m assuming that’s pretty simple right?
I’m always willing to try out new things that’s for sure. Worst thing that could happen is I stop it and let my spouse use it on their non cannabis plants.
And answered the first reply with your second reply. Lol
So you pretty much water 6/7 days?
If you’re on the fence with selecting a fertilizer, I’ve used the following since leaving FF a few years ago.
Jacks 321, was using this exclusively for 3 years with zero issues.
Mega Crop 1 part, I’ve got a few harvest from this fertilizer and super impressed. Largest plants and buds I’ve grown so far, super inexpensive and the PH holds really well with minimal drift on reservoir type feeds. It’s really well balanced with all the needed Macro and micro nutrients that cannabis will ever need ![]()
Any issues with mega crop part 1?
Also what is the difference between part 1 and part 2? And can they be used together? Or should they be used separately? One then the other or only one product a life cycle?
Sorry for all of the questions just trying to get a better understanding so I can make a decision. I’m kinda leaning towards it tbh.
Thank you very much. I think I’ve come to a conclusion but I’m going to do a little more research just to be safe.
I use the fox farm trio. You need to use them all together. I will do water only between feedings. Feed, water, feed, water. I always water til I get runoff. I always feed full strength also. Here is a schedule if you dont have one.
They say coco requires flushing more often… I think its says every 2 weeks. I dont do the flushes with soil( not my advise, just works for me) I think watering til runoff everytime helps.
Those are some very nice looking nugs! I think I’m going to give mega crop 1 part a chance in the future.
I appreciate it the schedule. I’m probably going to see how far the rest of my nutrients last and then switch over to the foxfarm for the rest of this cycle. Then compare growth with the rate it was growing at to see how it fairs.
So another quick question. So you just use 1 part throughout the entire process correct? How does it give it the proper nutrients for veg vs flowering? Just curious is all not trying to pick apart or anything.
Yes one part, they balance the NPK ratio as do most nutrient brands. The only difference in veg and flower is an appetite for more potassium and phosphorus which with reputable nutrient brands their NPK base takes this in account. I’m trying a run now with a modified Mega Crop Base with adding their PK boost. This is using a clone from a plant I harvested using the Mega Crop only so should be judged on a level playing field ![]()
Let me know how that works. I literally thought about adding that before I read that you did. So that will save me some time on experimenting with that. Lol.
Will do, I’m a keep it simple type of grower and tried something like this when I didn’t quite understand the symbiotic relationship between all the main and secondary nutrients. Overloading one can affect the absorption of another or several. That’s why I mentioned that a good balanced NPK with secondary nutrients takes these in account for a start to finish fertilizer and nothing else needed ![]()
I’m a very experimental type grower. If it gives positive signs I jott it down. If it gives negative signs I jott it down. Just trying to find the best method. When to do what. Etc. to get the biggest most potent yield.
@OGIncognito does mega crop 1 part have salts that need flushed in it?
All synthetic fertilizer have salts, some heavier than others ![]()
