Super soil out of the bag

Who makes the best super soil?

I’m thinking of doing a side by side comparison of an organic grow and a grow with nutes.

I’ve heard good things about Michigan M3 mix, and SoHum soil. But I cannot find either near me.

Whay do you super soil guys use?

I’ve also heard about Great Lakes soil. Add just water. What I heard from a grower is that you may need supplemental feeding for flowering. That seems to be the general consensus with all “no feed” soils.

So I’ve heard that you can’t PH the water and you feed the soil, not the plant.

Great Lakes, looking them up now.

I’ve got a bunch of SD auto seeds, I thought it would be a good experiment.

You could still PH the water, that won’t hurt a thing. The difference is, they’ve buffered the soil to maintain ph better.

Sounds interesting, I love comparison experiments.

I’m using Coast of Maine Stonington blend in my outdoor grow. I heard real good things locally and on this forum.

So with these super soils theres no feeding required throughout the entire growth? That seems impossible is why I’m asking

Generally most feed in flower,
when using S.S

So that means less nutes and caring for the plant technically right? Just start tofeed once it’s out of veg. State? I mean of course your going to need to water it lol but other than that nothing until flower?

I have just completed an extended veg in S.S my girls did develop a deficiency, but that was after
14-16 week veg, so standard veg, up to 10 - 12 weeks water only, bump it up in flower. :v:

@Enlightened420 how bad of a deficiency? was thr crop ruined? would it have survived without nutes until harvest… sorry just trying to understand this “super soil” and if it’s some kind of newbie growers dream

Seeing you’re so curious, I’ll tag you to my journal and you can find out yourself.

P.S Plants are still alive.
