Hey @Gardenguy, if it was a room I would go with the versatility of the 4 units, you should be able to place 4 315’s so that they cover everything. they are just like the 630s use same bulbs but the 630 just has two in one fixture. with 4 you get to move stuff around. but in a tent i would only want 2 fixtures in because of confined space.

I do agree that the versatility is nice and it is the same amount of light but the way the reflectors aim the light makes some difference if you draw a rectangle that is 4x8 it is easier to get uniform coverage with 2 4x4 squares than 4 3x3 squares

if you might want to go with smaller tents down the road than the 315 would definitely be the way to go

This is what i was planning on getting but someome suggested getting lec. I’m planning on buying a galaxy grow tent 4 by 8, dura breeze clip fan 6" times 4 sun system level life light hanger times 3, dura breeze inline fan 8" 745 cfm, canfan muffler ducting 8" by 25 f, carbonace carbon filter 8" by 39" 950cfm, canfan intake filter 8", 4 ft flexible air stone, hydro flow barbed tee 1/4 in (10/bag), mini in!one drivers 1" gmp, 4 ft support stakes - 50 pack carved trimming scissers, measure master 500g digital pocket scale, growers edge commercial grade trellis netting uftx8ft, netafim uv white/black polyethylene tubing 3/4 in 100 ft, ebb master pump capmpo26, gro pro essential round Arabic pots w/ handles 5 gal black times 8, I’m still deciding on what lights and reflectors to go with but I know it’s 1000 watts times 2 and I know I need a ph meter and stuff plus power cords and timers with everything I listed its going to be anywhere from 1500.00 to 2500.00 depending on what lights I go with any fed back is welcomed and very much appreciated thanks for taking the time to read all this

That’s what i meant by being kind of a hassle. Having 4 fixtures to work around doesn’t seem as easy as 2 would. Then you have double the cords, and lights would likely be running lower as well.
I don’t know this to be true or not. The close proximity of the dual bulbs could have a higher drop off from center of canopy to some of the corners. It will certainly have higher par levels directly under the fixture than a 315, which would mean running it higher. That can be a problem in a tent too. You’re certainly not going to grow 4’ plants in a 6’ tent and get good coverage with 630 fixture. Going with 315’s there and a low profile batwing styled reflector would probably provide better results.
Both setups are going to put roughly the same amount of light into the space. Which means light density is going to be about the same either way too. To make a sound decision on which would be better, you should probably involve planned growing method into conversation. Then weigh the potential pitfalls vs gains of each. A 4x8 tent is kind of hard to manage wall to wall too, any dead floor space planned for working in the tent could change the situation quickly too. It’s complicated

Hey @Budlov. you didn’t put any flag to one of the guys on here. you do that by adding @ in front of their name as i did yours and it will send them a flash so they know to look at what you posted regarding your setup… and i only followed about half of it so i really got my learning work set up ahead of me lol
As far as i know you can get a batwing for any ligth
