Suggested harvest amounts

I’m on my 4th grow. When I buy seeds, they always tout the possible harvest amounts. Usually I’m seeing 17+ ozs for a 3x3 space.
Mine is 4x3. I use great nutes, high quality lights and good airflow in doors. My harvest have never been more than 7 oz and that’s with four plants.
Should I just disregard what they say or is there a secret I’m missing. Believe me, I’ve done tons of growing research and follow all instructions religiously.

If you want serious answers fill out the support ticket. Everything you described is highly subjective.

Assuming that’s all objectively accurate. Are you growing autos? How long are you vegging if photo? What size pot if your veg is long maybe you’re getting root bound?

@Skyblue, we would need to know what you’re working with to help increase yield. Or I could say more specific?

I don’t understand how 7 ozs from 4 plants is subjective but… I have grown amnesia haze and gorilla glue. I grow indoors in a 4x3 space. Usually 4 plants to a grow.

Well since I have a 3x4 grow space. I grow in 5 gallon pots of good soil. I do the grow phase for about 5 weeks then cut back the light to 12/12 for another 9-10 weeks. I use good nutes once every Thor watering. I keep the temp around 72 degrees with moderately low humidity. The best I’ve ever done was 7 ozs from 3 amnesia haze plants in the grow space.
My harvest is so wildly different from the description of harvests when buying seeds. I just wonder if anyone gets close to the numbers?

Your yield would increase if you kept them in veggie stage longer. I went 11 weeks in veg stage before the flip.

So you’re saying that 11 weeks in grow and another 9 in flowering phase( on average)?

I’m using a highbrow 2000w led and scrogging and topping. It might be the time I leave them in grow mode as someone has suggested.

Exactly! That’s my point. I wondered if it was me or the claims were inflated. Obviously it’s me…lol

Yes, bigger plant = Bigger yields

I doubt that led is even close to 2000 watt’s…
Do you have a make and model number for your light…?
@dbrn32 can help you with that…

This light?

https://www.amazon.com/HIGROW-Double-Spectrum-Greenhouse-Hydroponic/dp/B075R61CNT

It’s listed as 400 watt fixture. 200-250 grams per 3x3 seems about typical with that kind of lighting.

I would say that 17 zips per 3x3 isn’t going to be what the average home grow produces. I’m sure its possible, but need a lot of things in your favor. You should be able to do more than 7 zips on a full canopy though. I feel like 10-12 oz is more of what I I would expect if you had little better lighting.
