Grow space size/yield

Hey everyone just curious to how much a grow space can yield.i know theres alot of diferent factors to take into account im just trying to figure out potential for example ive seen 10ft x5ft x 6ft high yield 2lb dry under 1200w hps lamps is this about right?

If done correctly with zero issues using right techniques you can get a lbs from one  plant in a 4x4 tent there are many factors that come into play
As you said
Strain in a big one to consider some will yield more than others
You can do 3-4 plants in a 4x4 tent
With a low tent a scrog screen will be the best way to go to maximize the space
Hope this helps

2 plants grown naturally in a 4’x4’ space can yield +/- 3/4 lb. 6 plants in same space. 1-1/4 lb More yield with less plants and a healthier environment due to way better air flow.

5’x10’ space = 2 rows with 4 plants each for a total of 8 plants with good air circulation. If grown well could yield you 2-3 lb.

Happy growing, lw

I grow in a 4x4x7 tent and my last grow was 5 plants and yelided just over a pound. I’m not an expert grower by any means.

I use a 600w MH/HPS fixture. I switch between MH and HPS for vegging /flowering. Seems to work out well for my space. I have a 440cfm exhaust fan hooked up to a carbon filter running through the light fixture to keep my heat down. I only grow during the winter months mostly so it’s pretty easy for me to temperature wise.

Swt that sounds good. How long does it take to veg 5 plants to get that yield? I always top and train them out wide @Jmesser80

I ended up vegging them for like 2 months. 2 of them had issues that I wanted to get straightened out before I switched them over to flower so It extended my Veg time but ended up working out in the long run.
I topped them and supercropped a few branches here and there to even out the canopy. Pretty much ended up being a sea of green without the mesh.

Ive been veging for 6 weeks might give it another 2 them do the flip. Do you give urs a long dark period between 18/6 and 12/12? @Jmesser80

No I usualy just make the switch without a dark period. I’ve also tried gradually reducing the lights on period over the course of a week or so gradually reducing the time the lights on until I reach 12/12.

Is the gradual change in lighting to prevent stress?

Not really sure to be honest. I was reading some posts and saw some others were trying it out so I figured I would give it a try. All my previous grows before this last one I just switched it over one day and wanted to see if it made a difference. I didn’t really notice if it helped at all but I only did it over the course of a week so not sure if it would make a difference if it was transitioned for longer say 2 or 3 weeks.
I think the whole premise behind it is that in nature the light cycle doesn’t change all of sudden it gradually reduces the length of the day so in theory it would be more natural to reduce it over a period of time rather than one shot.

Ive seen videos ou youtube and theyve given them 3 days of dark before starting 12/12.

@Jmesser80 i forgot to ask are you in soil or hydro?

I use what’s called a soiless mix (sunshine mix #4 is what it’s called)
It is a soil but it doesn’t have any nutrients in it and is made up of pretty much peat moss and perlite etc.
because it is considered soiless it is treated as like a hydro grow (as far as PH balancing)

I made the mistake of putting mine in a slow release potting mix i added peat moss and worm castings to it so hopfully that will dilute it abit until i switch to hydo. Thanx for all the advice uve given me il know better next time
