Spudgunner's Clone Grow

Fast conversion Metric x 2 plus 32 =F
Actual conversion Metric x 9/5 + 32 = F

Double and add 30 = F is closer and easier!

They brought metric to Canadian schools when I was in grade 4 or so, so I’m on the fence. Some things I do metric, others are Imperial for me. Fun story, a lady I worked with was married to a cop. At their housewarming party I told him I flew past their place off the freeway doing 105 every morning. He said in his French Canadian accent “Zee limeet, it is only 90, I will get you one day!” I laughed and said “Miles…not kilometers!”. Works out to about 170 km/h.

Man, I miss my old Charger!

1994, CVN70 pierside in Jabal Sand pit, Ali.
Liberty bus rides 30 minutes and stops at Metropolitan Hotel
Departs 30 minutes later for center of Dubai.
Dubai Sheraton to CVN70, 13 minutes in Jag/taxi.
We were passed once, but driver wouldn’t go above 240K, with us three in car. Slowed for round-abouts.
Passed liberty bus and it looked like it was doing 60, in reverse.
Not as bad as two bullit trains passing each other in opposite directions (eyes respond like vision tries to suck out your eyeballs).
Been lost on the Autobahn, used lots of diesel quickly.

Sailors often do dumb things while on liberty.

Well, it’s been 11 days since my last real outdoor update, so enjoy!

The legal ladies lined up in the sun (looking north, sun is off to the left) Pea fence in the back of the raised bed is about 3 foot high now, peas are just starting to flower! Be eating some fresh snow peas soon! Lettuce on the right side is growing quickly too. I water that bed every morning when Sheba gets me up around 6:30-7:00. Carrots are coming up on the left, and some dud romaine seeds trying in the middle.

Starting from the left, the runt of the litter, a Sleepy Joe. Short but strong, she doesn’t bend much in the wind, just leans into it and grins!

Next we have the biggest of the Sleepy Joe clones that I took (which is why it’s MINE!!). She needs some branch pulling, and a little cleanup on the bottom. May as well cut those useless wimpy bottom sticks off, but gotta wait for a cool day before I spend much time in the sun.

This is the polyploid Sleepy Joe. She naturally branched herself, I haven’t done anything to these ladies other than take a few fans off. really need to wrap their bags with some twine so I can use that as anchor points for when I do tie them up

And finally, the biggest Mighty Quin clone I took. She has some really old leaves on her, they need to come off as they are getting discoloured. Something for an early cool morning when I’m up and grandson isn’t here.

Anyways, hope everyone had a great Independence Day weekend. Stay safe and hydrated!
Grow on!

It’s about time. We finally got some decent weather there, huh boys? . I was getting worried this summer was going to be a total washout. I don’t care how good of a grower you are, if it rains more days than sunny, and the days never get above 60, you’re not gonna grow some good weed. I’m praying for this warm weather. I’m so glad it’s here.

Glad to see you’re still in the game! Haven’t heard much from you recently.

Your weather chart for July should look like mine, you’re only 100 miles or so away if you were a crow! But ya, I can’t deal with wetwetwet all the time. No pics of my cherry tomatoes, they have maybe 5 or 6 flowers on each one, such a crappy May/June we had. :cloud_with_rain: :cloud_with_rain: :cloud_with_rain:

Of course, now we probably won’t get rain until September, the other half of our province will burn, 1000 people will die from heat-related health issues, but our plants will love it!

And when it does rain, it’ll be another atmospheric river :upside_down_face:

@Spudgunner Whidbey is 60 miles south, as the crow flies
ten tomato plants, 4 tomatoes, and 15 yellow flowers.
I thought we could grow some tomatoes this summer.
What was I smoking?

Four pepper plants, sweet FA on any of them! Only thing that’s taken off are my raspberries

Wish I could fly like the crow, right over the border with no lineups or delays! The Sumas crossing is my closest, then off thru Bellingham. So prolly 100 miles.

Probably one of your reveggers!

Lights came on 20 minutes ago, so figured better check on the tent ladies. Flipped to 12/12 on June 12/13th, so almost 4 weeks since. And for 4 weeks, they are looking absolutely wonderful! Considering they were stretch-babies that I couldn’t gift to anyone so decided to keep. Must be that Mega Crop and the PK Booster I’m using, thanks again @OGIncognito :+1:!!

There are 4 Mighty Quin CBD plants in the corners, and a Sleepy Joe OG in the center, the short one! The tallest plant is in the back-right corner, and I found her leaning in this morning, resting on the others. So, out with the twine and tie her to the string I have running around the tent at the 4’ level, keep her upright and supported!

This is the top of the front MQ, filling in nicely! Hoping the stretch has finished, they’ve only grown a couple of inches in the last week or so. I have maybe another 4" or 5" of space left to raise the lights, and the closest top is about 10" away right now, so hoping I’m good! If, not, supercrop!

The Sleepy Joe top in the middle is stacking nicely!

Nice enough for a couple shots of her!

You can see how lanky these bitches are…the stalks are about the thickness of a finger. The MQ’s are all about 54" from dirt level to top, while the SJ in the middle is only 30". But propped up on the buckets, she gets a similar light intensity. The smell is starting to come on strong now, especially if I move them around like I just did to tie that back one up! Mmmmmm, love that smell! And it should only get better over the next 6 or 7 weeks :grinning: :grinning:

Sure is hot here this week, have these heat warnings in effect. Tent is getting up into the mid-80’s, only dropping into the 70’s at night with lights out. Try and keep cool and hydrated folks, it’s only gonna get worse. Make sure your fur-babies stay cool, fill up the kiddie pool with water for them if it gets too hot out there!

Happy growing all!

I’ve been enjoying my first CBD-hybrid smoke lately. Trying to evaluate the buzz.
Have you found unique or surprising effects in them strains. Anyway theyre totally worth growing. Just as stoned as ever.
Boss said we have it easy today at 30C and somewhere in the west is expecting 50!

Isn’t it amazing when we think that everything is working but no excitement, until they shift gears then its like where did that come from lol. Surprise is the best. I gone a different route the fans didnt do it so the small window ac units answered my questions. Dark hrs tent is 81, lung room 77. When lights come on i can still maintaing the lower temps in the lung room and hold a steady 88 degrees in the tent. Learning every day

Thanks Jay! I grew a Medgom CBD plant last year for my niece, an auto that went 222 days! She really likes it, said it helps if she feels a seizure coming on. When I smoke it, I don’t get too stoned off it, but I have a nice feeling of contentment. It’s a 10% CBD and 7% THC plant. I haven’t sampled any of the Mighty Quin yet, only chopped on June 4th so that’ll be a Christmas treat after a 6 month cure!

And that 50C is probably Lytton, they usually set the records this time of year. I don’t have A/C in the house, trying to keep it closed up so it doesn’t get above 27 inside! It’s 11am and already 28, high is s’posed to get to 32 but will end up being 34 here!

I’m planning on cloning that polyploid outside in August, put 4 in the autopots and the rest in the cellar with a quick flip… See if “the rest” is 5 or 20. Might be a baseball team, maybe a football team  !!

I wish I had A/C. Could get a heat pump, they have $16K rebates on right now, but then I’d need to run another 100 amp circuit from the street. The following year after out house was built (2003), they changed the code so power to the house went from 100 to 200 amps. I’m maxed with general electric appliances and the hot tub! If I could pull $20K outta my butt, I’d do it! But, it is what it is, they’ll manage!
