Spring flower or long veg?

Dedicated clones that are sacrificial pollen receivers about 12 inches tall. I usually get about 100 to 200 seeds. I don’t pollinate big crop plant “branches” anymore. I’ve had too many seeded crops with no buds. It’s very hard to not contaminate pollen. I even kept males off site except pollen in a bag. Still seeded out to all hell. That is outdoor in the raised beds.

I do it all in the off-season indoor winter or early spring now. Been doing it this way for about 10 years now. It was the eight years before that I would try to selectively small seed my big crops; and it was always too many seeds not enough buds. My favorite way to do it now is sprout seeds open pollinate them, revege them, harvest seeds, then flower. The beauty is, you can sprout the next generation, and grow them alongside their parents. That way you know , if a line is worth keeping or not. Hope That makes sense.

Here is my not well read thread, I tend to be long winded :
Anyone do seed runs in the winter?
