I have 4 Blue Dream seeds about 2 weeks into seedling stage right now and I’m wondering if I could move them outside to trigger an early flower and have them done before daylight gets too long. 14 hour days will start June 2nd where I’m at. If i get these outside towards the end of march that would give them 8+ weeks of flowering before the hours get too long.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Am I better off just letting them veg into monsters? Not sure my tent and light situation can handle 4 of these veg’ing that long, so I’d rather try for a spring flower +. reveg if it’s viable.
Thanks for any and all help!

Give it a shot, we can see who gets flowers first.inwould have mine out all ready if we didn’t keep getting frost this week. Next week is looking like the week here.
I plan to pollinate mine, harvest the seeds, reveg, flower to harvest in the raised beds this fall. Then concurrently grow out some of the children alongside the parent plants this fall.

@Ombudsman , it is in my opinion, March is way too early for ur baby’s to go outside!
Weather is still unpredictable here on planet earth! Check ur
Zone for planting dates! I know like myself I see alot of little weeds growing everywhere outside right now and start getting the itch myself , even though
The weather here in Missouri is in the 20’s at night 60~70’s daytime, late April is when I will plant here, waiting patiently for the ground to warm up , ur growing Blue Dream, I am growing California Dream outside this year, last year it was grown in a tent 12 plants, I just let them grow no training at all ,
Boy, what a MISTAKE! Then I found ~ the advanced mainlining, manifold, technique
IT will definitely help you out brother!!! Check it out!!! Trust me
My FRIEND you’ll be AMAZED!!!

Last frost was already a month ago here, I’m not worried about outside conditions so much as light length.
Never bred before, definitely want to try it sometime. About how many seeds do you get from one pollination on avg?
Dedicated clones that are sacrificial pollen receivers about 12 inches tall. I usually get about 100 to 200 seeds. I don’t pollinate big crop plant “branches” anymore. I’ve had too many seeded crops with no buds. It’s very hard to not contaminate pollen. I even kept males off site except pollen in a bag. Still seeded out to all hell. That is outdoor in the raised beds.
I do it all in the off-season indoor winter or early spring now. Been doing it this way for about 10 years now. It was the eight years before that I would try to selectively small seed my big crops; and it was always too many seeds not enough buds. My favorite way to do it now is sprout seeds open pollinate them, revege them, harvest seeds, then flower. The beauty is, you can sprout the next generation, and grow them alongside their parents. That way you know , if a line is worth keeping or not. Hope That makes sense.
Here is my not well read thread, I tend to be long winded

Anyone do seed runs in the winter?

I would say you probably want to get them out then as soon as they have three or four nodes. They might even be a week behind since you are further south than me. I find spring budding is OK, they’re just a little bit more airy and less dense than summer buds.
I’ve done it so many times, but it’s mainly for pheno hunting. I make so many seeds I have to select the winners or be overwhelmed and never improve my stock. The spring runs are hands down the best way to sample and see how they flower, make a little seeds, and know what the chuck and what to save. It kinda all goes together with the spring flower run.
The best take away for me is the plants will reveg seeded, and ripen the seeds as they put out vegetative growth at the same time at around 14-14.5 hours if outdoor and sensing the sun increasing. Those fresh seeds will pop right away. No need to cold stratify or dry them. If you want to test their kids right along side mom and dad same season.

Weather isn’t much of a concern at this point where I’m at - more so just the light cycles and worried if I’ll have enough time to flower before 14 hour days cause re-veg. I think I will try it with 2 and the other 2 I will veg out and take clones from. I can get all the ak-47 autos I have going early outdoors instead since they don’t care about any of this.
Going to have to look into the mainlining manifold technique - got any resources you’re using?

Any tips on keeping the plant alive through spring flower for re-veg’ing? I’m not breeding in this instance, just trying to maximize my plants.
@Ombudsman , about the advanced techniques I mentioned to ya ILGM has a discussion on this, I stumbled acrossed it on Google, also Royal Queen Seeds, and a bunch on
YouTube also, Now I have never ever tried the technique of Mainlining, Manifolding ! I had an
Aha moment when I found out about the technique
and thought to myself, “I’VE GOT TO GET OUT OF THE CAVE MORE OFTEN !!” NOW that I know and learning all I can about it,
“And” Here We Go ! Full Throttle!
